Re: Cyprus Residency

If you move to the top of the thread you will see I did post a working link to the full document . Yes you did but given the questions still being asked, which I feel are answered by reading the whole document, it seems not many people have utilised it.. However if Dominic will be so kind he can de...

Re: Brexit Update - The Chat

I have just posted in the General Section information and a link to a document recently issued by the Cypriot Ministry of Information relating to "residency rights for UK Nationals and their families living in Cyprus" which, in my view, is a very clear and concise document. I thought it mo...

Cyprus Residency

I am posting this here in the General Section as I do not believe it should be in the Politics one although Dominic may differ and, if so, please move it there. The Cyprus Ministry of Information has issued a very clear and concise residency rights document for UK Nationals and their family members ...

Re: Brexit Update - The Chat

HMRC takes the view that British subjects residing overseas and holders of British Passports are still domiciles of the UK unless and until said people take on a different nationality. Nothing in the proposed new agreement with Cyprus changes that stance as far as I can see.

Re: Loud thunder Kissonerga

I dont mind where the thunder and lightning is at any given moment so long as it is not over here in Tala - rain if it wishes but please, please let the other stuff be with those who enjoy watching it. I feel for Trev's dog because I am the same shivering wreck whenever the lightning and thunder is ...

Re: 'Never has so much been lost by so many to satisfy so few' - Sturgeon uses Churchill to slam Brexit

Scotland is not a "member" of the United Kingdom it is a country which comprises the whole of the United Kingdom I think you have said something that you did not mean to say! Scotland is a country within the United Kingdom. It does not comprise the whole of the United Kingdom. Thank you D...

Re: Loud thunder Kissonerga

Dominic You keep all this thunder and lightning your way please - I join the dogs and cats who hide away from such weather - dont mind any rain but the other stuff has me pacing the floor. Was up at Kamares today where I had been playing bridge when the thunder started so was forced to join others w...

Re: 'Never has so much been lost by so many to satisfy so few' - Sturgeon uses Churchill to slam Brexit

Being a member of the UK and a member of the EU are not the same at all though. Scotland is not a "member" of the United Kingdom it is a country which comprises the whole of the United Kingdom which presently is a member of the European Union no more no less. Ask the Catalonians or even S...

Re: 'Never has so much been lost by so many to satisfy so few' - Sturgeon uses Churchill to slam Brexit

Tyelaw Why don't you Google the word that offends you and find out it's meaning; its a Middle England word. I see words posted on here that in my home city are grossly offensive but accept in other areas of the country are not seen in the same context but I don't have a hissy fit over it. For someo...

Re: 'Never has so much been lost by so many to satisfy so few' - Sturgeon uses Churchill to slam Brexit

What I find difficult to understand about Mrs Sturgeon is her life time ambition to take Scotland out of the Union with the United Kingdom but wishes Scotland to remain/join with the European Union - either Scotland wants independence or it does not - somewhat contradictory me thinks. Before anyone ...

Re: Brexit Update

Meanwhile, many animal charities are still waiting to hear what will happen with regards to Pet Passports and transportation for all the dogs and cats they rescue and rehome outside of Cyprus. Let's hope things will continue as they are in that department! Jules I heartily endorse your sentiment an...
