Re: Peyia webcam

Camera re-booted! it should be back on-line now.

I will try to get to the Latchi one, but last time I was there the stairwell was blocked with lifejackets and I could not get access.

Still not working.
The web server failed, it is just I have not fixed it yet - any emails still arrive ok though as they use another server.

All the channels and portal in use should be updated now.

There was a DNS update earlier today, the MAG box required a re-boot to update the setings.

Re: Cyta router and Mag 256 ...

The 322 is a good upgrade to the 250, it has the new hvec codec in which an increasing number of movies in the videoclub have. There will be more channels switching to the H265 streams over the next year or so, so an upgrade could be worth it. However, if it works and you are happy with it, no need ...

Re: So, the Autocratic Dictator Johnson is Proroguing parliament. Very democratic.

I thought that Parliament from Sept the 12th to October the 9th was not sitting due to the Party Conference Season. So, we are actually losing a few days only of Parliaments time only, at a maximum 3 days in September (if the 9th is the date, but it could be the 12th and no days lost) and 5 days in ...

Sorry Jim, but you are wrong there. The emerging markets are countries like Brazil and South America, not the EU - the EU is a declining market on services - I got this form a city broker (who voted to leave)! If you do not belive me, just try to apply for a UK credit card or loan etc as a non UK ci...

Re: Speed test

Most DSL connections have an upload of about .8 Mbps, unless you pay extra for "enhanced" upload, which will increase to about 4Mbps. Trev is correct in that ADSL is about 10% upload compared with download. For most customers, if not all, download is far more important than upload. For exa...

Re: MAG Box Problem

Page loading error can be caused by two issues. Firstly, an internet issue (but as you have internet it is not that), or an issue with the provider. Sometimes a provider will carry out an upgrade or maintenance, so either try again later, or if it still happens later, give then a call or drop them a...

Re: Pay Road Tax for Previous Years How?

Hi, If you go to road transport and see the supervisor in the back office, he can give you a form to take to the court to declare the vehicle has been off the road. You then return the form back to road transport to get the tax cancelled, but last time I went in there was a rather large pile of comp...

Re: Internet provider.Paphos.

We do a 50MB service for €50 per month for full-time customers. However, it is not available at all locations, because signal interference is an issue due to the high number of providers. Probably the reason for the slow speeds is because of interference, all providers will suffer this. If you can l...

Hi Jon,

Easy to do, just attach a cat 5 cable to the cat4 cable and pull it through. Just need the special tool to make the connection in the box. Any electrician should be able to do that. If really stuck, PM me and I can come over to sort.

I also had one customer who was having issues, they took their box to a friends house, and it was perfect. Both were using CYTA, both in the Polis area. I personally have two portals on my box, with two different suppliers. I have had issues with a channel on one feed, and switch...
