Re: Half of Britons now support a second vote...

I am not certain the statement " contractually obliged" is correct. Had we been obliged to pay, I am certain Cameron, Osborne, Clegg etc would have had this Fact written in huge letters along side the battle bus - "Vote Remain and save 1 Bn a week, to spend etc! " The House of Lo...

Re: Deportation of Israeli citizens from RoC.

I would imagine that if you have an EU passport Cyprus Immigration would not be able to detain you or ask for the purpose of your visit, as they HAVE to let you pass, unless you are on a stop list (say issued by europol etc), even if you are a criminal but not listed on the stop list. If you are fro...

Re: Car import

Al, you do not need a purchase receipt, just the registration document. You will have to pay excise duty - a handy calculator is available on the customs web site. You will need a clearing agent, I use 5 continents shipping. If you use the ro-ro service, I think Andrews shipping in London are the ag...

Re: So, what of the £350 million a week for the NHS?

£350 million per week is a drop in the ocean! It does not include the 7.2 Billion per year from the common external tariff. Ok, once the UK leaves, and Liam Fox gives it away in free trade deals, then the extra 7.2M will not appear. I have worked in the past with NHS trusts, and believe me they coul...

Hi,

Send an email to sales@uktv.media and they will pass onto support. I have a MAG254 with them and am not experiencing any problems.

Re: Infomir Mag Box stockists

Mac,

We supply the MAG254 for €99 including a month free of the MAX package at €22, so €77 for the MAG box with no service.

I do not think you can beat that locally.

Re: BREXIT - Walk Away!!

I think that UK will be walking away, there is no flexibility from the EU. As for Boris, leave him alone, he maybe needs a few lessons in diplomacy and he did a great speech at the conference. I have not got a problem with things going bad with the EU, there is always another way - just need a bit o...

I would have expected the upload to be about 10% of the download (2Mbps0, just do not not use any cloud services that need upload - but great improvement on the previous results!

Re: Ryanair Cancels More Flights.

That is not exactly fair, I once had cause to ask for a refund. I was denied boarding at the gate (my details were incorrect, although they were stored on the system, worked before and since), and it turned out the flight was overbooked due to 5 ryanair staff on the same flight. I was asked to move ...

Re: Ryanair Cancels More Flights.

I use Ryanair on all my flights (some of my customers work for them, so have a bit of loyalty there) , but I need to be in the UK on set dates, and back on set dates. So I tried some other carriers, and booked one - then checked the Ryanair price, and it was £50 more - so I am afraid Lepricorn airwa...

Re: Internet

Al, military microwave frequencies do not interfere with WISP. Weather radar does (however according to the Dept of Comms there are none here in CY), the radar at Lara uses a low frequency (about 2GHZ) which does cause problems with 2.4GHZ routers nearby, as it is a long range radar. You can tell by...

Re: Internet

Short answer no.

Some military radar does cause some issues, but it is only short-term during exercises.

Solar flares cause bigger problems.

Royal, HIC wears blue tinted glasses with gold stars, and blinkers as well. The single market is not what it seems. As an example effecting me, I am importing 2 vehicles next month. I complained to the EU that for some reason I have to pay over 3k in import duties - the initial reply was that this w...

Re: Internet

The problem the OP has could be due to the WISP provider. Wireless is ok in areas where you can get a clear signal, in fact far superior to copper over the same distance, however in areas of high interference it can be very sub-standard. Because of this issue, where a clear signal is not possible We...

Re: Shipping to the UK

Already have the cars full of bits, but there may be a few feet available, I think the 2 vehicles take up 31 feet of the 40.

But for a few pallets no problem, the container leaves for Felixstowe on the 20th October.

Re: Internet

Al, the UK is severely limited by the short-sighted government decision to stick with BT Openreach and their outdated copper system. Virgin does not have this restriction. If they can get fibre to the home, you can do 1GB no problem. Personally, I would not touch talktalk with a barge pole, they mus...
