Lincoln - we were also there this morning, 08:30.
No problems, had all the paperwork, some she didn't even look at, photos taken, €20 paid and out in less the 10 minutes.

Re: Ricos Beach Bar

I usually have a canned or bottled drink in a plastic glass.
No health issues there, but I must admit I'd think twice about having food there, at the moment.

Re: Ricos Beach Bar

I know it's a bit. If a crock deal for him, but surely he shouldn't be allowed to serve food and/or drinks until he has both running water and hygienic toilets??? Then why knock his old place down, which had electricity (generator) and water, before the new place was ready. I do however, agree abou...

Re: Ricos Beach Bar

You can't really blame Andreas. The Council knocked down his old place, which had running water, then let him use the new building which still, after all this time, hasn"t got electricity or a water supply.

Re: Electricity bills to rise by 6.72 per cent

We have electricity roof panels, and are not concerned about 7electricity bills. We use ours for cooling in summer & heating in winter, and only once in eighteen months have we received a bill, other than the standing charge.

Many years ago I worked for the Ministry of Public Building & Works. Some wag thought it amusing to remove the "L" from "public" on several of our vans !!!

Uncle D wrote: Mon Sep 03, 2018 10:18 am Thanks Devil, but as Fisherman Phil buys and fits his own, I was wondering if the place he buys it from takes the old battery from him.
Yes, Uncle D,
KANNAS will take away your old battery, they also check to make sure that you actual do need a new battery.

Re: Rav 4 car battery

The question was "where to buy a battery at a good price". I believe KANNAS are the cheapest, but if you're willing to pay a little bit more and get good customer service, then go to Costa. Personally, I always use Costa for tyres, but for batteries and windscreen wipers, I go elsewhere.

Re: Rav 4 car battery

KANNAS, just after Lidl, through the lights and on the left hand side. Even Costa gets his batteries from them, but they don't fit them, you have to do that yourself.

Someone ( who hasn't been drinking ) would have to drive it home for you!!
I don't know, but it wouldn't surprise me if in Cyprus, they book you for drink driving, then let you drive home!

Re: Polemi Festival

Doesn't suit my lifestyle at all, I'm afraid. I get up at 5/6 in the morning for fishing, bowling or whatever. Going out to an event which doesn't start until 8pm, has no appeal whatsoever.

KATO PYGROS CROSSING

Has anybody used the Kato Pygros crossing to the North recently ?
If so, do you still have to telephone for the insurance man to come ?
Or is there now a more permanent arrangement in place ?

There were a lot of people at the big church, near the mall, at about 12 noon today. Cars were parked everywhere, and hundreds of people dressed in black. Anybody know who it was ?

Re: Wood Fire Briquettes

I've used the briquettes from Home & Garden for a number of years. They are easier and cleaner to store and load on the stove than logs. They give out a similar amount of heat, if not more, as logs, and there is absolutely no waste. The cost is similar to logs, but that depends where you buy, an...
