Re: First time I could contribute to the Municipality's water problem..

Having watched welldrillers use divining rods in the past I could see that they were often successful. Two coat hangers later I made my first rods. Re: Possible rain on Monday

We had rain here north of Ayia Napa on August 10 last year and because it was the same date also on Aug 10 2008. Sad I know but I remember the dates because of picking up family from Larnaca airport.

Re: Huge Explosion In Beirut

Initially there was pressure shock wave which made loose items rattle at my house followed by first one bang and then a much larger bang from the explosion. My initial thoughts were the NG practic...

My son and his family are booked with Easyjet next week. Last week EJ contacted them and said the flight was cancelled and they could either request a refund, request a voucher for a future date or book a future date. He replied to EJ overnight that he would like a refund. The following day EJ repli...

Re: Rat Problem

Having watched a professional team of exterminators at work clearing Rats from someones store room, the company used the good old fashioned spring loaded spine crusher style with a piece of apple/apple core as the bait, worked every time. Asked why they don't use cheese and the answer was the rats d...

Re: DRIVING IN SANDALS

I had a very close friend who was killed in a road accident when the driver of the hired minibus he was in could not press the brake pedal to the floor as one of his flip-flops had slid underneath.

Re: You can now pay 2019 Tax

We have S1 exemption and there are options under Current Self Assessment related to GHS self assessment and so on, but cannot find anything directly that says S1 exemption. Hers defaulted to 0300 self assessment. She pays a % of her Cypriot Old Age Pension into GESY already deducted at source. I was...
