Re: Six nations

Not rugby ... but another big win yesterday was Qatar winning the Asian cup 3:1 against Japan. A major feat as nations such as Iran, Australia, South Korea and other much much bigger nations got eliminated. The sweetest thing was that on the way to the final they trashed both the Saudis and the Emir...

Re: Problem with fitted gasfire

Have you changed the gas supplier? Could be impurities in the gas or elsewhere (ie water ingress due to rain?). What have the chaps from TD said?

Re: Who is vandalising Foinikas?

Wow - what a change since we have been there last time - and what a bl**dy shame about the senseless destruction :x. The bird on page 8 is a Cormorant I would think - at Lake of Constance and the river Rhine downstream, where I grew up, hunters are allowed to shoot them as they deplete the fish stoc...

Of course the RUSSIANS are involved. They have infiltrated into the UK society and are very active in there work  That's actually not as far fetched as it sounds Lincoln - watch The Americans if you have the chance - a really good series and again not so far from reality as some might thin...

Is this an all-time record? The Water Development Department website only goes back 10 years . If 6000 years is any better than use this plot here to see how precipitation has changed over the last centuries ;) : Climate in the eastern Mediterranean.png from a Swedish PhD on the Easter Med climate ...

...What's about the prices for Whisky, Vodka etc, to mix with coke? Can’t afford the coke either. Energy drinks, fizzy drinks, cigarettes and porc products also went up by 100% as part of a new sin tax. Still better than introducing VAT as some neighbouring countries recently have done I guess. A.

I am glad it’s back. I thought the Qatar blockade now for some weird reason included your website...

(Struggling enough with 100% increase of alcohol prices since 1 January. 24 bottles/cans of beer now cost about 100 Euro - ouch).

Good to know that there is a collection point in Tremi - since there is no longer any in Tala, and I can never remember when they are supposed to collect from the street in front of the house, we started driving all our recycling to Coral bay - close to Holitec and Frog and Toad restaurant  . Re: Gold.....!!!!??

Another two nice specimen Max - you and George should open a shop or a show room!

Without touching the samples it is difficult to determine any mineral - but it could well be hydromagnesite (do an image search on Google).

Re: Gold.....!!!!??

To my knowledge is actually supposed to be Serpentite. Would agree with your assessment - the rock looks like a serpentinite which is a hydrothermally altered ultramafic mantle rock. You can still vaguely recognise the original mineralisation consisting of mainly olivine and pyroxene. The shiny min...
