Without preaching doom and gloom I am not holding my breath on the "in two to three weeks" reductions in the R number to previous low levels ( <1 ? )
Only time will tell

Re: Cyprus taken of ireland green list
I can understand this in a way If you look at the stats currently in the UK and local lock downs in effect and the amount of Brits heading to Malta, Cyprus, Gibraltar, San Marino and Monaco in search of sun With all the precautions that are in place in Cyprus just one rogue stupid American woman spr...

Another side effect of Covid-19
I read a few weeks ago that due to the reduced level of pollution/smog emissions due to lockdowns and reduced activity etc it would in effect made earth temperatures rise as more direct sunlight is reaching the earth It seems to be showing signs of this in Cyprus where the temperature for July was a...

Re: MPs urged to reject bird hunting bill
You would have thought that following the current pandemic crisis that emanated and jumped from wild animals to humans it would have given the government sufficient cause and opportunity, in addition to the pressure from the EU, to completely ban 100% this sick, archaic, barbaric tradition

Re: Double kitchen sinks
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, however, this is a bit of deja vu for me I had a double s/s sink, from memory of a similar size as to the OP's, that was fitted to my apartment when it was built about 20 years ago and I had a bit of a spruce up of the kitchen about a year ago and decided to swap ...

Re: Cyprus has among least safe roads in Europe
Hardly comes as any surprise to me considering a) The standard of driving and ignorance of drink/drug driving laws/speed limits and important safety items such as crash helmets and seat belts and habitual use of a mobile whilst driving b) The local police's lack of enforcement of infringements c) Pu...

Re: Paphos hotels desperate for British holidaymakers
I do agree that tourists are needed but would have thought they would have made it easier for people with their own places to get out there as they will be the people who are spending the real money out of there in supermarkets, bakeries, pubs, restaurants and shops and spending money doing improvem...

Re: Police urge motorcyclists to wear helmets
There is a simple solution, raise the on the spot fine to € 1,000 for the first offence and € 2,000 for a second and carry on adding an extra € 1,000 for subsequent violations The bike should be seized at the time of the offence and not released until the fine paid and scrapped if not paid in 7 days...
