Re: New bill to prevent homeowners left fighting for title deeds
Hope it works. I would not wish what we and our neighbours went through on anyone. There are still people who have not got their deeds because their developer went bust and many who lost thousands. What happened in the noughties still needs to be addressed.

Re: Heating
When your pv system comes online you will find it very economical to use your aircon for heating. As you know, for 1kw of electric, and you get at least 3kw of heat. You have not had the advantage of storing kwh yet under the eac net metering scheme, but we have over 4000kwh stored which we will be ...

Re: The road not taken: hikers befuddled by unclear trails
Try following the E4 footpath from Paphos to Tsada. Very few signs, there is one at the beginning, at the end of the old airport road, but anyone getting off a plane would have great difficulty finding it. The first part follows follows the coast, and then makes a right turn up the Ezouza valley, wh...

Max, yes, they are all live and producing. In June we were achieving just over the 5kw with the new modules. Probably with dust free panels we would get over the 5kw mark.

Our solar edge app tells us exactly how much electricity we produce each day. solaredge (900 x 507).jpg Today we have used 6.5kwh through the meter. We have exported 20.1kwh to the grid. We produced 25.84kw of electricity. Therefore our total consumption for the day was 12.24kwh, of which 5.74kwh we...

Re: PV panels again...
Trev, basically for heating the pool in winter. Unlike your home, ours is an uninsulated concrete box. Last winter we almost used all of our surplus kwh, and we did not heat our pool in the very cold weather. With those extra panels, we will be able to heat all of our house to a comfortable level, u...

Re: PV panels again...
Our panels were very dusty for most of October, but after the downpours our production increased. We have 17 panels installed three years ago and 3 new panels, which are much more efficient than the original panels. However, they are facing west so, at this time of the year, produce less than the so...

Re: Electricity prices up by 32 per cent So Far in 2022
Really sorry to here that Devil. Hope it doesn't put people off getting solar panels. All our neighbours who had Greenair install their panels were up and running within around 8 weeks of making their first enquiries. Our next door neighbour first saw Christos at the beginning of December. A 5kw sys...

Should have been settled years ago. Feel really sorry for those people who were sold those mortgages. Thankfully, we were not one of them but could have easily been. Good to see that the lawyer who solved our numerous problems was involved in this case. I would highly recommend Louise Zambartis.

Re: Car wash & WAX
When we go to the Mall we often get our car valeted there. Not had it waxed but they make a really good job of washing. I also noticed yesterday, in the rain, the wipers were working much more efficiently and water was beading on the windscreen and the droplets were being moved off the windscreen by...

Re: BA Avios points.
We had the same problem. They were due to expire in November. Whilst in the UK in the summer we opened a BA Credit Card account (AMEX) They gave us 5000 points for spending a certain amount on it for the 1st three months. The other thing we did was transfer, each month, the maximum number of Avios t...

Re: Mustard algae in pool water
I'm a Greenair customer with a Lorenz solar pump, which runs from dawn till late afternoon on free electricity from the sun. We had it fitted soon after buying a Quantum UV water steriliser, as, for the Quantum to work effectively, it has to have water flowing through it for much longer periods. It ...

Re: Average water usage and swimming pool evaporation
Hope this helps.2021, August consumption, we were averaging 850 litres per day. However, we had put a phosphate remover in the pool and were doing frequent back washes.By the October bill we had got this down to 754 litres per day. 2 people, but 4 weeks of 2 visitors. 8 by 4 pool and 3 irrigation tap...

Re: Laws regulating use of scooters and bicycles
Definitely proper cycle paths needed. Most roads have a good, wide shoulder and these could easily be made into proper cycle lanes. All that is needed is for them to be kept clear of vegetation and marked as cycle lanes. Also rumble strips or even orange markers between the cycle lane and the road. ...

Re: Heatwave continues with yellow warning, as 40s set to persist
Stay safe everyone. Put on the aircon, especially if you have health problems. Even set to 27c or 28c, it takes the edge off the heat and, the new inverter units use a lot less electricity. Keep hydrated.

A brilliant addition. I rode past a similar one on the sea front at Abergele yesterday. It has been there a few years and is well used and well maintained. Cannot understand the moaners on Facebook. The mayor is doing a good job improving the seafront.

We really appreciate our air con units. Began our summer use about four weeks ago, when we had visitors and our bedroom door was shut. Bedroom usually around 29c when we put our aircon on. We run the boost setting on our new LG Units for around an hour before bed. Then set at 24c or 25c with the fan ...

Re: Reintroducing mandatory use of face masks in certain sectors a possibility
Yioula, yes, we are in Penrhyn Bay. I think I probably caught it either at the airport or on the plane. We spent 5 hours at Paphos Airport on Friday and another 5 hours on Saturday as the airport refused to put back the checkin times, even though they knew our flight was delayed. We were all escorted...
