Re: Beach at Yerouskipi.

Alan Coral Bay is about my closest sandy beach, but I still prefer the area to the east, why? well, the lack of people to be honest, Bonamare knocks Coral Bay outa sight, and Peyia beautiful?, come on. :) And you can keep that shiprust! P.S Alan do you actually sit on the sand, I do not know many ex...

Re: Flights over Tala

The Cyprus Mail warned during the recent Syrian airstrike that civil aircraft would be taking "tighter flight path" over Cyprus, I take it that this was that route, maybe call the airport for confirmation, although I would imagine it is a temporary flight change. Lloyd Cyprus has two/three...

Re: Amazon UK

I am a big Amazon user have been for some time, here is a cautionary tale that I am trying to sort out as I write this, I am ambidextrous, :) Last week I ordered a small item and it duly arrived at my home here in Tremithousa, delivered by the local postman, I was so happy with the product I ordered...

Re: Beach at Yerouskipi.

This would be the new Riccos cafe? John be careful riding that bike near the dumping ground, hate to see you fall in. ;) Lemba and Emba are of course different in many ways, a road separates the two areas, one Emba is a large urban development around a small village, while Lemba is a Refugee village...

Re: Blood Bank

When the vampires are taking blood samples and it is busy, I hate the way the next in line looks over at the incision you are having, almost bad taste.. ;) Have to admit I normally get this done at our local testing station, the General lost two of my samples that went for testing, being diabetic I ...

Re: Car Air Conditioning

Unfortunately, my service engineer has quit doing re-gassing your motor at home, so I went to Criss-cool, watch out though he usually insists the filter is changed, it cost me €25's and the cost of the re-gas of course, I could see no problems with that old filter. Also parking your motor there is d...

Certainly, for those using Mags, and they outnumber all of the rest, and why not they are a great IPTV platform, certainly the best most of us have used in recent years, if your willing to pay for a good service that needs no downloading and fiddling about with then it has to be a Mag type system, l...

Re: MEU3 again!

Mac hello. I do not think anyone knows the real outcome of all of this, but it is a simple enough procedure once you have copied and printed those duplicates on that list posted, we were home in an hour or so, and that was with a full room with no seating available for this old codger. Personally, I...

Re: Beach at Yerouskipi.

Whats in a name? Gerouskipou, Yerouskipou, Geroskipou, or just about any other similar name, and it is not a village Louise as you know it is a district of Pafos town or city. The point is the beach is clear of that awful smelly seaweed, for now at least. whatever you wish to call that beach!! :geek:

Re: MEU3 again!

I was told at the Immigration on Friday that the point of this is for when the UK leaves the EU, so it will be a must have it seems, putting your head in the sand is probably ill-advisable, for the sake of €20 each it is not worth the possible outcome of not having the MEU3. We found the paperwork n...

Beach at Yerouskipi.

All of that 3-meter deep seaweed has at last been removed and dumped with last years, so gone until next winters storms, they have even shored up the footpath that was being eroded, the beach is back. It is never going to be golden sands type beach but the locals from Pafos do use this area often. (...

Re: MEU3 again!

Lloyd hello..(agents fees)

I was actually quoted by an agent €157 each! cannot for the life of me see why you would pay to get this sorted.

I think this thread is for the masses on PL not tucked away in the political section, it is of serious interest to all ex-pats.

Re: MEU3 again!

Our appointment this afternoon was for 12.30pm, the waiting room was full mainly with Agents with their clients, we were number 37/8 expecting a long waiting time, not so, all done and dusted back home at 1.15pm, why would you pay someone over €300?, we paid for the two of us €40's, the staff were f...
