Re: Electric scooters in heart of Paphos endanger locals and visitors alike

Jim B. See Memory Man's post above yours. They are restricted, but i doubt that anyone is policing the law Trev I should have said enforced and I agree with you that until there's a serious accident a blind eye will be the order of the day. I'm sure you'll remember when the motorcyclists used to do...

Re: Electric scooters in heart of Paphos endanger locals and visitors alike

On the coastal path the other day there were several of these trikes going much too fast, beeping their horns and scaring people. It was the same from the Cabania to the harbour with the trike riders swerving between pedestrians.. I'm pretty laid back but did expect to be hit by one as we strolled a...

We also received our bill this morning which is bang on time.
The photovoltic system brought us a bill in of €30.48 with AC Units running most days and nights.

Best investment we ever made.

Re: Some streets in Chlorakas look like a dump

We have the same problem up the Konia Valley. People drive up from Paphos and dump their stuff here when there's a more than adequate site in Geroskipou for taking as is Chlorakas.
I don't comprehend how their minds work.

Re: Name and Shame.

Thanks Trev.
I have always taken your hard learnt lesson to heart and warn people about naming and shaming but unfortunately many people ignore this advice.
I tell them to put it down to a lesson learnt but many forget an innocuous comment can land you in a heap of trouble.

Name and Shame.

I've seen numerous posts in the local chat rooms where people are calling for complainants about overcharging, bad service, price rises to "Name and Shame". It was good to see Dominic step in on a thread on Paphos Chat were he warned people it could lead to serious consequences in court an...

Be careful parking around the government buildings as there are plenty of red parking cones and traffic wardens due to the B6 from the Makorias Statue towards Cyta being closed..

Re: UK PM

I first voted Conservative in 1970 as a young subaltern in the army. I voted Conservative all the way till 2019. I voted Remain in the referendum. I pledged my loyalty to the crown in 1969. I could not, in all conscience, ever vote again for the Conservative party and my oath to the crown (once Cha...

The whole bloody Government is corrupt: https://goodlawproject.org/news/ministers-vip-test-trace-contracts/ PhotoLady I see you're another extreme left winger for daring to mention the rampant corruption, I had read this article though I doubt many others will bother here as it might make Johnsons ...

Re: UK PM

I hate the way people refer to the Thatcher government as "Far right". This is utter nonsense and insulting. I was no fan of the woman but that sort of statement is ridiculous. I may be wrong but I don't think you're old enough to have actually had experience of her and her government. He...

Re: UK PM

Haha Jim, it is very difficult to reason with the extreme left wing, best to retire before it gets too heated. You see Miloman, that's a Conservative party supporters first line of defence, call anyone who is critical of the party an extreme left winger. All I do is point out the lies, extreme corr...

I will magnanimously you accept your apologies for inferring I was spreading fake news😇 that's of course if you have what it takes to admit it.

Re: UK PM

You are reading too much fake news Jim. I don't think so. Why don't you Google it and see which media is reporting it. Of course it's not in the right wing press because they don't print anything that affects the Tory party image. There's none so blind as those who will not see. For some reason I'm...

Should of kept Boris, who was doing a good job and seen how things unfurled! On Russia's payroll like alot of Tory MPs, should be thrown in gaol, the lot of them. Can you give us your evidence to support these allegations. Just Google Tory MPs receiving Russian money and there are plenty of links w...

When I worked over in that neck of the woods most of the technical stuff was made in the Ukraine.
Most equipment we got from Volgagrad was very crudely made. Fit for Purpose was the name of the game and much of it was dangerous to use.

Nothing both ways now!
I think when the roundabout by Lidl is open its going to be nightmare if turning right. The failure to use indicators on roundabouts drives me crazy.

Please feel free to post any roads you find closed, but check your not double posting a road that's already posted. A lot of bad driving here is due to lack of knowing how to drive, take note of how many drivers stop in the middle of the lane when turning left or right. They do not put the car next...

Re: Another road closed

It's a very dangerous junction due to the island wide lack of use of indicators. I've seen numerous crashes there so it's handy it's local to the General.
