Re: Fall of the £ again
"It's the younger set that keep retail, housing, car manufacturers, goods in business." This would be the same younger set who are increasingly living back with mum and dad into their late 20s early 30s as they can't afford mortgages, cars, holidays etc?? Or rather, can't afford the stand...

Re: Just one example of false reporting by the media
Well, since the reckon the demographic of the Tory voter, is on average white, middle-class, daily mail reading, retired .... and since around 2% of the elderly die each year, it wont take long till the voting population is completely different. I dont think they'll want two-party politics either. M...

Re: Fall of the £ again
This of course simply isn't true... A booming stock market benefits the millions of 'ordinary' people that have their pension pots invested in it - not just 'the few'. That doesn't put cash in the pockets of those who spend, to keep the economy working. Pensioners, largely, are past their days of s...

Re: Fall of the £ again
The markets may be booming, but that helps the few. It is a false position, due to the weakness of the pound. This of course simply isn't true... Re: Fall of the £ again
Mrs May is yesterday's politician. Damaged goods - for her own party. The Tories are renowned for turning on their own. Boris would be a disaster as would Rudd. Davis would be better for Brexit, What's needed now, is a cross-party Brexit team, led by the Tories, with the aim of a soft-brexit, but p...

Re: Just one example of false reporting by the media
The problem is that "News" is now seen as entertainment, no one actually reports the news, they want to make it...hence the hysteria about Mrs May resigning....all the news channels should be ashamed of themselves..oh and Corbyn fought a fair and dignified election campaign based on a man...

Re: Just one example of false reporting by the media
It's getting to the point where you can't trust the media on anything.... Some are known to be outrageous, like the Mail, Sun, Fox News.... but many others are now implicated.... Some should be censored for their coverage of the election. The Mail has Cor Bin as a headline.... day before election......

Re: The UK General Election
So,take the sinn fein out (7seats) and that leaves the tories short of a majority by 1 seat...326 for majority less 7 equals 319...tory seats 318 Your maths are wrong.... 650 seats, -7 Sinn Fein, -1 Speaker = 642 seats. To have a majority, you need 1/2 that +1 = 322 seats. Tories have 318, so are 4...

Re: The UK General Election
The interview May did with Jon Snow - very reluctantly, despite C4 having virtually a right as a major broadcaster.... and the fact Snow has interviewed every candidate for many year.... was car-crash TV. May avoided answering questions and fell back on 'strong and stable' to the point where it seem...

Things You didn't Know about the DUP The DUP is set to prop up Theresa May's Conservative government, as she has confirmed she will be visiting the Queen to seek permission to form a government. Many of us didn't read the Irish party's manifesto, and didn't think the Tories would need a second party...

Re: The UK General Election
Prediction time from me. No General Election until after Brexit. T May to stand aside after the Queen's speech to be replaced by Amber Rudd. A soft Brexit as insisted on by the DUP as a price for their support. When we do get to the next election, my money is on Lord Buckethead. Amber Rudd? God for...

Re: The UK General Election
May has done a deal with the DUP.... God only knows what that will encompass.... The DUP cannot form a power group in NI, but will be part of one in Westminster.... DUP cannot support a hard Brexit, or commit political suicide in event of another election. The cost of a deal with the DUP will be hef...
