Loved loved loved this blog. Thank you Dominic.

Thank you Max for posting the lovely photograph. . . . .of one tree. Always, at this time of year, and even in the North of Scotland, I am planning my raised beds, pots, cold frame and green house with thoughts of succession planting, nurturing seedlings and growing ALL THINGS wonderful to eat, shar...

Re: Seaweed on sea front
Could there be a middle ground? Whilst living in Paphos (and surrounding area) we noticed stonemasonry displayed in many places, of the highest quality and skill. Very much like we grew up with in Scotland. . . . .albeit constructed with different stone. I would love to see that Craftmanship at the ...

Re: Vehicles with all lights on.
I used to have a Lexus CT 200 H, a great vehicle, which allowed me, on a good day (long journey, good weather) between 4.2 and 4.3 l/100 km and, on a bad day (bucketing down/night time, cold weather, short trip) 5.3 l/100 km. It is with great regret that I had to sell this car because of age (me, n...

[/quote] I remember as a kid, putting your four penny's in the phone, if someone answered you pressed A to get through, if no one answered you pressed B and got your penny's back, as kids we used dart into every telephone box we passed by, and press the B button, sometimes the person that used it pr...

Re: Telephone booths in Paphos
I also remember when you could go into an old fashioned telephone box, and TAP the number with your fingers into the booth. My Mum and Dads number was 4265 . . . . . . So, I always got through for free You were 'stuffed' if your home number had a NINE in it.

Re: Telephone booths in Paphos
Do these booths exist anywhere in Paphos nowadays? I remember 3 or 4 booths at the corner/traffic lights beside Kings Hotel many years ago where my daughter regularly phoned her boyfriend, when we were on holiday. I was at these traffic lights today which jogged my memory. * Not everyone has a mobi...
