Re: ‘No more hiding behind bushes’ for traffic police

It appears that the no hiding memo from the new chief of the traffic police has not reached the fine officers of Limassol, still hiding in their usual positions around sunny Limassol and not concentrating on accident black spots.
Anyone know how to access the info where accident black spots are?

Re: Mayor of Paphos locks horns with Unesco over new Paphos jetty

Go on then HIC, go spend millions of public money that Paphos doesn't have and see if and when you get that investment back. In the real real world do you really think that Paphos and Cyprus really is serious competition to such places as Venice, South of France, Athens, etc. Look at the new marina ...

Re: Mayor of Paphos locks horns with Unesco over new Paphos jetty

Don't you think that Paphos is getting ideas above their station - How can you compare places like Venice to what Paphos has to offer? Like it or not Paphos has a few very small relics to show and does not have a vibrant centre to eat/drink and visit.

Boris telling lies?

Looks like that nice Boris Johnson is off to court for allegedly telling lies about the supposed £350 per week that goes to the EU on the side of the Boris bus. Sorry it is from the Daily Mail and the script is to long to copy onto here - to read the link is https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-...

Re: Waste management is not so complicated,

In the village I live in which is East of Limassol, the local council started a recycling area with bins for plastic/paper and glass. It was emptied once a week but became that well used it needed emptying at least 3 times a week. However it got closed and the reason's given was a) it was to popular...

Guess what the Labour Party and Diane Abbott say that this lovely lady should be allowed back into the UK, no real surprise I suppose.

Maybe they can find some more terrorist(s) to allow back into the UK.

Re: Cyprus one of worst offenders for motorway speeding - EU report

David Brown, I think you should consider yourself very lucky that the officer was so lenient - you were travelling 33% over the speed limit so to get a €30 fine is very small.

Why are the Police a problem? They have stopped an offender and dealt with it albeit leniently in my opinion.

Why is such a fuss been made about Begum? About 400 people (presumably mainly male fighters) who are British passport holders have returned from Syria to the UK already, of which some 10% have been prosecuted. The rest it appears are wandering around free and unsupervised. Whilst she has stuck her h...

If they had prosecuted him and bearing in mind that he has given up his driving licence what punishment can the courts give him? A fine is not going to be a problem, points on his licence not an issue as he has given it up. In reality very few people are taken to court for being the cause of road ac...

Re: Driving in your “Dotage”

Police officers are given a reasonable amount of discretion in dealing with what in real terms is a minor offence. Norfolk Police seem to have a set policy on dealing with offences reported by the public using phone photograph pictures of alleged offences and used that policy in dealing with the all...
