Re: Electric toothbrush
Lidl have them in about twice a year, along with a box of spare brushes for a few euro. The brush itself also has spare heads. I have a set in both bathrooms and they are excellent for the money. You just have to watch out for them coming into stock.

Re: Activists protest over illegal parking on pavements
Shane- I agree with the protest against pavement parking. Sometimes the planting of trees on the pavements can be inconvenient, but I’m all for as many trees as possible for shade and air improvement. I frequently walk five or six miles around the area, and fail to meet one pedestrian. It seems tha...

Returning to UK/Car Insurance
I have heard that, a) upon returning to UK people have not had their no claims bonus recognised. This seems peculiar, since they are, at the moment anyway, both EU licences. b) In some cases, being of a certain age, being refused insurance. I know we have a few people on this forum who have returned...

Prescription medicine
We are thinking of using a private Doctor, since we don't "gel" with the GP we have been requested to see at the General, by the Consultant, for intermediate supervision between visits to her. Can anyone tell me if we could still use the general for prescription drugs, if they are issued b...

Re: Paphos General Hospital today
I expect that after the significant cut in pay a few years ago some Dr's and other staff have left to go private or work abroad. At the time of the pay cuts I remember some people complaining about how they had to pay a few Euros to see a Dr at the general and pay for prescriptions. Now the chicken...

Re: Paphos General Hospital today
Last time we went, to see a particular Doctor we were No 27, the numbers went up to 33. An elderly Cypriot man chewed the Doctor out because he had waited nearly 3 hours for a repeat prescription. When it was our turn, he came out of his office and asked who were there for prescriptions. All except ...
