That me be the most up to date info I was told different by a tyre place but it was some time ago. It seems evident on this thread that even the MOT stations have conflicting views on tyres.

Maybe a trip up to immigration after March the 8th will get you a result, we pestered them for my wife's MU2 and eventually it worked. Yes we did get them and Gwenny took copies of these to contact immigration, these along with the affidavit and copies of passports had to be stamped at the courts.

We tried to contact Immigration ourselves and couldn't get through, someone said that they had used Gwenny so we thought that it was the best option.
Why do you ask?

Its been six moths now and we have gone to Gwenny's to see if she can trace them for us, we have been to her office three times and each time there is always someone else with the same problem as us. If it didn't fail the MOT I wouldn't worry too much about it, the tyres on my MiL's car are nine years old, I took it for it's MOT last week and nothing was said, the car only does 9k miles and is like new.

The UKCA is different from other ‘ businesses’ in that it has a membership. That's an interesting point, maybe they could ask for donations and/or raise the membership fees, something most restaurants and bars cannot do. Who knows, maybe if it works some other places will start up a membership sche...
