I'm quoting the figures to date; that's 60,000 plus extra deaths for the first 5 months of the year, not for the whole of 2020.
And also the figures are not mine, they are from the Office of National Statistics which is a UK Government Department.

Alan I don't think it's me being naive, Cumming is the senior special advisor who advises and assists in setting Blojo's government policy. Cambell was Press Secretary who advised on putting the policy developed by Blairs government into the public domain, totally different to what you're suggesting...

Re: UK 14 Day Quarantine
I don't share Devils and HIC's sense of humour this time. While HIC wrote that Boris is only the figurehead for the Cummins administration, which may be close to the truth,I don't think that is remotely funny! I think that its appalling that one unelected advisor has too much power. Does it show th...

Re: Yesterday’s UK death rate (as reported, not ONS) showed it was higher than all 27 EU states combined!
No-one seems to have taken into account the numbers of deaths where the deceased had underlying conditions, over 90% according to the research I did. So I ask, how many of them would have died anyway ? Like it or not, nature takes it's course. How many people have had it and recovered, that statist...

I do not think that you can rely on any of these figures. There are lots of people who are reporting deaths in their families from all manner of conditions and when it comes to the Death Certs, they are nearly all mentioning Covid 19, which in the majority of those cases mentioned was totally untru...

It used to be like that in Nicosia Immigration and the only way to get anything done was to go up there. I would keep going to Paphos Immigration until given an appointment, be polite and explain why you've returned there. Generally they are not answering calls, they are just ignoring them; we witne...

We get quite a few of them by where we live and were held up by one crossing the track to our place the other week. It took about ten minutes to cross the three metres but we were in no hurry and it was amazing watching the way it moved.

Our Dad was there and we never forget the sacrifices he made.
Our youngest sister was born on this date and Dad always referred to her as our little D Day baby.

Thanks Max, it's easier for us to get to the abandoned village on the side of the reservoir if we go via Episkopi.

Episkopi to Nata.
Does any one know whether the road from Episkopi to Nata is now open. The authorities were building a bridge across the ford in Episkopi which I believe was washed away which caused the road to be closed?

Re: Yummy - Chlorinated Chicken coming to the UK
Do the Americans have any incidents of people becoming ill from eating their chicken? I am uncomfortable with the practice of halal slaughter, so I don't buy meat if I know it has been treated this way. But, like chlorinated chicken I don't know if restaurants are serving it. Alan They do, food poi...

As long as the product is properly indicating origin and process you have a choice to buy or leave. What if you're eating out, how will you know what is on offer, will there be a little Stars and Stripes or Union Jack stuck in the grilled Chicken or Steak? America is stating they want point of orig...

We went to Lidl about eleven this morning and the queue was down the car park.. Complacency is setting in; people should read the report on the spread of the virus in Singapore and then maybe they wouldn't be so quick to cast off their masks and gloves. Just washing your hands and singing happy birt...
