Re: E1680 Bio Plant Licence

I think that Varky may be correct as after reading through the email again, I think that the person who sent it who put E1680 meant the cost for the licence was €1680, apparently to be renewed every 4 years. Having some background information to the original question I did know that a maintenance c...

Re: How Long Will Trump Last?

None at all. Declared fully fit for the remaining 3 years of his current term as President, and for another term if elected (unlikely if Oprah Winfrey stands against him). I like him, no nonsense, says it how it is, not your typical Politician with hands in the till! :D Amos. Problem is that quite ...

I get the impression that hospitals only want to treat people, not be revenue collectors for HM Government.
Alan
Maybe, but, rightly or wrongly, they are not slow to charge for parking, even for staff working at the hospital, to supplement their funds.

And last on to the plane so that all lockers for hand luggage are full. As was my case in December at Larnaca when boarding with special assistance.

WTO rules, which would be equally as bad for the EU as the UK, for trade between them.

Re: How Long Will Trump Last?

He was a nutter and a bully before being elected. Nothing has changed. Problem is that those two adjectives could equally apply to a large number of US voting citizens aand they have voted for someone truly who represents those characteristics. Unfortunately he will last one and maybe two terms.

Re: How Long Will Trump Last?

He is an ignorant bully who doesn't take kindly to criticism or advice contrary to his own primitive opinion. The main problem is that with his policies he thinks he is representing the wishes of those people that voted for him and in this he is probably right......which says a lot about the intelle...

On the face of it, yes. But this would not take into account those plastic bags that are produced for use as bin liners and for which purpose many of the plastic shopping bags handed out today are used.

Re: Cycleband/Ikoagora/Grand

The solution is to get governments to get the present manufacturers of plastic bags to change to fully recyclable material not to charge shoppers for using present day plastic bags. This applies not only to plastic bags but to all 'disposable' plastics.

Re: Now remind me, where will the new trade deals be signed, post-Brexit?

As long as we are in the EU we cannot enter into and activate unilateral agreements, but that doesn't necessarily mean that negotiations cannot take place before we leave with agreements coming into effect the day after we leave. If the EU says that we cannot even discuss such agreements before leav...

In Cyprus I live not far from the Orites windfarm just north of Kouklia...and I can tell you that for much of the year, spring through to autumn, the blades barely turn, if at all. I live on the Paphos side of the aforementioned wind farm and I dispute the statement made by HiC. The days when the b...

I didn’t know that there was local IPT as well, however small it might be. I’ve only ever settled the IPT bills I’ve received via JCC. I guess I’ll need to pop up to the Peyia municipality when I am next out in March! At the municipality offices in Peyia you can organise to receive all bills emanat...

Re: IPT -Abolished?

Tremigirl, I think I'm correct in saying that this is a tax you will only pay after you have received your Title Deeds, if that explains anything. I think this depends upon the terms of the individual contract of sale of the property. It is possible that the 'owner' becomes liable upon handover of ...

Re: IPT -Abolished?

In Anarita a bill for IPT about €8.00 was sent in about August with a last payment date of the end of the year at the same time as a water bill was delivered. Otherwise what Lofos-Jan has posted is correct
