Re: So where is the UK's Brexit masterplan?

I think the constant bickering between pro and anti Brexit on this thread, at this particular moment, is non-productive and whistling in the wind. As the title of this thread asks, where is the UK Brexit masterplan? No-one on the government side, who is supposed to be in charge of the Brexit negotia...

Catapult

Does anyone know where I can buy a catapult to scare off a couple of pigeons that insist on parading alongside my pool, defecating as they go along.

Re: What if the will of the people is now for a second referendum on Brexit?

Jackie is correct. No change to the individual laws can, or indeed will take place before 18 Mar 19 (or later if an extension to the negotiations is agreed). As a current member of the EU we cannot just disregard or repeal their laws...and we remain an EU member until the day after Brexit. The Grea...

Re: What if the will of the people is now for a second referendum on Brexit?

Apparently not, nothing it seems will change until after Brexit, the laws/rules that exist on the 18th March will be the same on 20th March. It will be later that rules, laws, regulations etc. will change. Jackie Correct, Jackie. The Repeal Bill as such will not take EU laws verbatim, although that...

Really, is this the extent of your counter argument? You do yourself no favours with such a response. Whilst I might agree with some of your postings this was uncalled for.

Re: Electricity saving measures in this heat...

Probably a stupid question, but..... are you blowing the hot air OUT, by positioning the fan inside the house and facing towards the door? Therefore pulling cooler air in from the open windows on the opposing wall? Or, are you blowing the cooler air IN, by putting the fan outside, and blowing the a...

Really Jimgward you really are clutching at straws now with no valid argument at all! Things change and surely any government worth their salt has to adapt to change. Don't forget if the EU had been more amenable to David Camerons requests then we would have never had a referendum to leave. As it h...

Hi Mark, I believe Admin have the right to lock posts which are potentially damaging or libellous. Other than that I believe Dominic runs this site with a fair and honest hand...and he does come across as having the patience of a saint ;) Surprisingly, I agree with HiC on this one. Turkey not only wanted the right to station its troops on the island but also wanted the right to intervene on the island. Would anyone agree to those terms. Yes Varky, like it or not the Turkish do have a,right as guarantors , to intervene if the circumstances require, as it happened in 1974, what...

Re: Brexit: Vote Leave chief who created £350m NHS lie on bus admits leaving EU could be 'an error'

I for one did not believe the £350 million would be available for the NHS. That figure was calculated misrepresentation of the actual situation. It was the amount that we give per week to the EU. It did not mention that we got approximately half that back from the EU in the form of various subsidies...

Re: Best place to buy LED PIR Security Lights

There is an electrical retailer next door to Costas Tyres on the Polis Road, opposite the Fruit/Vegetable market. I bought two halogen security lights and one PIR. One light still working and one replaced without problem after a couple of months on production of invoice. Both working. Ask if they do...

When you say you will not be effected by Brexit....you will...there are no "observers" if the EU technocrats decide that the "budget" needs to be maintained where will the extra money come from?. The U.K. Electorate were not made to do anything, they voted in a free vote to leav...

So I disagree with your broadsweep statement (as usual from you) that it will not happen. More false news from HiC!!! Oh ye of little intellect, where did I proclaim my view as 'news'? I simply said that I did not think the judicial processes of the UK will ever have the time, or resources, to traw...

First thing I did was to see from where the original report came from and all became clear. HiC and The Guardian sing the same song.
