Patio Magic

Can you get Patio Magic or similar in Cyprus, I have not seen it so far. Had quite a job pressure washing the mould from the surfaces this year.

Has anyone got a recommendation for black handrail paint, I am just about to start the task :(. I am looking at the combined paints with rust treatment included.

Re: Rover Freelander

I doubt it is the spare parts that is the problem, Which do not recommend due to reliability issues. People tend to go for Honda, Mitsubishi etc because they are more reliable.

Re: Mould in rooms

I wonder if this would work in Cyprus. Fitting would be a bit more of a challenge, but once in it should work fine. Has anybody tried it? https://www.juiceelectricalsupplies.co.uk/nuaire-drimaster-eco-positive-input-ventilation-piv-unit-hall-control.html?gclid=Cj0KCQiAnNXiBRCoARIsAJe_1cpMrfBeF4hXreW...

Assuming that everyone should now pay for larger outlays with your credit card, rather than debit card as there are additional safeguards with a credit card should things go wrong.

I find it surprising that we spend more supporting the good Friday agreement than our entire contribution to the EU. One of the surprising facts that have been unveiled during the Brexit negotiations :(.

Re: Campaign to target impatient, careless and rude drivers

It is generally a cultural thing and requires a change in attitudes and mindset, akin to the changes in attitude to drink driving in the UK.

Recommendation for shutter maintenance

Can anyone recommend someone to service our aluminium shutters. After many years they are needing some tlc and a few might need replacement interior parts. (I have already WD40d them). we are in Neo Chorio.

Re: Not only for owners of PV net-metering systems.. CMail

One thing that is usually missed out when doing payback calcs is including the savings for electricity you are not importing. We have panels in the UK and they paid for themselves in just over three years (4kw set up). I would expect Cyprus to be better. Cost of installation was circa £5000. I get a...

Re: New Restaurant in Argaka ...

The beach at Argaka (and right up that stretch of coast) tends to get all sorts of undesirable things washed up on it, I think it is because of the prevailing winds and currents. Fine if you are not interested in swimming, but i personally would head for Latchi / Neo Chorio area as the beaches are c...

Re: Wet wipes

Not sure if it would help but... We have a additional hand spray (like a little shower head) adjacent to each toilet and they are very effective at cleaning tushes :). Toilet paper is only needed to dry the aforementioned tush. Although we have a mixer valve you can just add one to the toilet cold w...

It would seem to be the very worst time to annoy the commonwealth countries. With Brexit looming we really need to be fostering good relations with potential trade partners.

Re: Hot Water Costs with no Solar

The reason that most machines have only cold supply is that modern machines use much less water than older models, and if connected to the hot supply all you do is use the cold water in the supply pipe, the hot water rarely reaches the machine. You are then paying twice, once to replace the hot wate...

Re: Wood burner v Pellet burner heaters

I think the log burner is much nicer to sit in front, the flames look great. If you can, install on an inside wall, you keep much more heat inside the house. Also if you are installing a metal flue, then have a think about running it inside, it gets hot and can give you additional heat.
