Yes, but no more lowlife cheating scumbags than the rest of the population. The only difference is that we don't go around calling ourselves "honourable".

Dam Busters

The recent rains are very good for the reservoirs, and they also rejuvenate dried-up riverbeds and streams. So the other day we revisited some old haunts to see what effect the rain had had on them, and perhaps build a dam or two... Read the article and chat about it below...   dam-busters_masthead....

Re: Yorkshire Terrier lost Polemi

The little scamp was there again today, happily trotting down the middle of the road, much to the annoyance of the police who were trying to catch speeders. We slowed down to avoid the dog and it was only then that we noticed the policeman with his speed camera. The dog looked in good health, and di...

Huuuuge Glass Pics

Further to Max's nice glass pics, I thought I would share the absolute whoppers my wife and I found to day on the way back from Polis Paps. First though, we need to set the scene. Most of our crystals lie on our lawns. They get cleaned whenever it rains. We like arranging some of them into patterns ...

Found two monster lumps of glass today. Absolutely huge. Will do a pic when I am happy the webcam is working.

Seasons Greetings

The Polemi webcam is currently undergoing some maintenance, so we thought we would use it to send out our Christmas Greeting to you all.

We hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and a Great New Year, and look forward to keeping you up to date with Paphos Life in 2019.

Re: Polemi webcam

Well, the camera is working again. However, it is currently indoors. I don't want to get out the ladder in the dark, so the view isn't much at the moment. However, it will be back in its proper place tomorrow.

Oh and 10: Frosty The Snowman?

I am sure the clue refers to "The Snowman", but that isn't a Christmas song.

Re: Name the Carol

I think you meant:

4 Silent Night
5 We three kings

4 is confusing though. I think two questions have been merged into one at some point.

Quiescent Nocturnal Period the Ascent of Apollo

"Quiescent Nocturnal Period" is Silent Night

"the Ascent of Apollo " is something else.

Gatwick reopens - and closes again.

Good news if you are travelling. The link wouldn't play, so here is the text from the bbc website: ________________________________________________________________________ Gatwick's runway has reopened after drones caused the airport to shut down for more than a day. The airport, the UK's second bus...
