A movie made in Cyprus
Committed was made in 2014 , I have not watched it yet , but the scenery and the car look good . 🤗 Has anyone viewed it ? “Visually Committed is truly beautiful and well shot. It takes the audience on a romanticised expedition through Cyprus’ stunning countryside, taking in both well known and under...

Re: How will we pay for the NHS?
Every January I go to the Tax Office to ask if I need to complete a Cyprus Tax Form, as I am resident here and have no income. Always told, no need to register for tax. Ask what happens when I become eligible for UK State Pension and told that if it is below the UK personal tax threshold then there...

Re: How will we pay for the NHS?
Things might also depend on your home country when it comes to the NHS. E. g. as a German pensioner I have mandatory health insurance from Germany which covers me within the EU. So I'm not interested in joining the NHS. If you are not interested in joining the NHS , why bother posting on an NHS thr...

Re: How will we pay for the NHS?
For me and the wife it seamed we had to get registered at the Cyprus tax office . You have to let the UK tax office know if you leave the UK to live in another country with form P85 . https://www.gov.uk/tax-right-retire-abroad-return-to-uk The uk tax office will then send you a dt/ individual form w...

Re: How will we pay for the NHS?
The way I read the link Jeba provided only refers to defence tax . “An individual is considered to be a resident for tax purposes of Cyprus if he/she is physically present in Cyprus for a period or periods exceeding in aggregate 183 days during the calendar year. The SDC law is amended so that an in...

Re: Brexit Update
Just had the meeting with the British High Commission this afternoon, in Paphos. He gave a speech about the current state of affairs, and took questions. Summary of Current State of Affairs: 1. It is expected that a deal will be reached. Neither side want no deal. 2. Contingency plans are being mad...

iOS 12 on iPad
I took the plunge last night and put iOS 12 on my iPad .
All went well , pleased to say .
One little thing they have changed , I now have the time and date on top line . . Instead of just the time .
I will have to explore what else is new .
