A Christmas Brexit Update from the British High Commissioner
The European Council meeting last week confirmed agreement on a set of issues relating to UK withdrawal from the EU in March 2019. This includes agreement on preserving the rights of both EU nationals living in the UK and of British nationals living in the other 27 European Countries. On that basis,...

What is Tsirko Poly 122?
Does anybody know what this is? The chap who surveyed our house said we could use some to cover an area where there was an occasional leak. I have no idea what it is though.
Google throws up all sorts of weird stuff, so I thought I would ask here.

Re: Easy Jets new policy/ bright idea
Don't fly Easyjet again! You need to ask? Amos. A rather unhelpful, indeed sarky, answer don't you think Amos? BA now only fly from LCA to Heathrow out of season (and even then at crap times) once a day, while Easyjet uniquely fly to a dozen UK airports daily and sometimes several times a day. Thei...

Re: Lemba Art College
Were ancient Cypriots nomadic? I can't get over their readiness to up-sticks and move villages en-masse. And likewise, I am not referring to the invasion. And even when I can get why they move, sometimes I can't fathom their choice of an alternative location. Take Theletra, I can understand why a vi...

Re: Paphos airport
One quick fix, provided it isn't raining, would be to put the bags in storage then walk out of the airport and onto the beach. You can walk up a short distance to the Bonamare, if you want some food. https://www.facebook.com/iLikeBonaMare/ And if you carry on walking you will end up at Max's fish re...

My whole body would be in the catapult. My arms and legs (still attached, mind) would be draped over the side.
We are talking big catapults here.

Lemba Art College
On our travels around Cyprus we have often stumbled across numerous random statues and quirky art exhibits. We first happened upon Lemba Art College in 2016, and if you like quirky art it is a must see location. We re-visited a couple of weeks ago and are pleased to see that the college is still a w...

No there isn't. That article is a lot of guff I'm afraid.
This is the dictionary definition:
logon
ˈlɒɡɒn/Submit
noun
another term for login.
And it wasn't a licensing issue. It was the SSL security certificate.
But as Jim says, who really cares?

Re: Ridiculously good animation
I love animations like that. They are the natural evolution of the old home PC demo scene, where many great animators of today cut their teeth. I used to love things like fractal generators and lissajous curves, but the popularity of suitable software to show them has declined in recent years. It is...

All sorted!
The new security certificate will last 3 years, which is the maximum length. At which point expect to see a similar post unless I can work out how to get a notification BEFORE the certificate runs out.

Ginahill, you need to make 4 posts before you can send and receive private messages. Nothing personal, it is a forum software rule to prevent spammers sending PMs. So just respond here twice more and you will be able to send PMs. Also, if you are replying to one person only, you can click on the dou...

Re: Transferwise charging for use of Debit and Credit Cards
They seem to charge for some currencies, not others.
https://transferwise.com/help/article/2 ... d-payments
That may explain the confusion. There is a fee for sterling, but not for euros, if using a debit card.
