Re: Mag box issues
Interesting your comments regarding the Amazon fire stick , I have friends who have a holiday home in Spain and they were saying how good the firestick was . I assume it’s more than just plugging it in ?

Re: Mag box issues
I struggled last year with my state of the ark mag box which I believe is 8 years old. My TV supplier is recommending the 520 model but they are trialing the 522 model. The price of the 520 box on eBay is around £90 and a £100 for the 522. I am assuming that the newer the box the more reliable the c...

Re: Winter Olympics 2022
Well done to both curling teams on their success , I played the game for nearly 20 years and as an Englishman I was privileged to become a member of the Royal Caledonian Curling club . Due to the lack of links in England I had to travel to Scotland to play . The game is very intense and can last thr...

Re: No Isolation
One thing that is very rarely mentioned is the virtual non existence of the flu virus here in the U.K. , is that because we have all been wearing masks ?

Re: Seaweed on sea front
I guess if you have to use a large amount of fresh water to remove the salt then it becomes uneconomic.

Re: Seaweed on sea front
Digressing a little I always thought that seaweed made a great compost for gardens etc but it appears that the seaweed they are removing cannot be used for this purpose and ends up as landfill.

Re: I need to establish...am I dead or alive?
In my twenties I worked for a U.K. insurance company in Nigeria and we received a letter from a client advising us “ I regret to announce that I had a fatal motor cycle accident and wish to claim on my life policy “ . The Nigerian staff were amused by this letter so I suggested we responded with our...

Went there in 1969 for the first time it was totally unspoilt , no cars as already mentioned and I was picked up by a fishing boat and taken to my hotel which was an old monastery set on the beach .

Hi Max , I enjoy your postings and would be delighted if you start posting on this subject again . Having fished for barracuda of the west African coast I am particularly interested when you are able to have this fish. But I do understand you becoming offended by comments . I remember on one of your...

Blown double glazed window.
Wonder if anyone can help, I noticed that one one of the double glazed units in my apartment had blown and can anyone recommend where to get it replaced . The unit can be removed and is small enough to take to a repairer if necessary .
Thanks. Terry.
Thanks. Terry.

Re: Flying from Paphos to UK - airport shambles?
Travelled with easyJet back to Bristol yesterday , a 2pm flight so no delays as not many flights . The only problem was checking in , I happened to be the first to check in and was asked why I had no paperwork for the pre departure test . I explained that the rules had changed from 4am that day and ...

Re: Travelling from Cyprus to U.K. from 4th October
Thank you Photolady , I had trawled a number of times through the easyJet website and did not find that information . My concern was that easyJet sent me a message reminding me to take the pre departure test despite the fact I was travelling on the 4th .
Thanks again.
Terry
