Re: Oh the irony.
Has anybody thought the fact that Cyprus is part of the commonwealth of nations and is therefore a former British dependent. So are we to say that all the Greek or Turkish Cypriots are all expats who reside in the U.K. Get with it people cyprus is a lovely place to reside, so as I see it there is &q...

Re: How many Lizards you can spot ? (pic)
Well I think I have spotted four(4). Here's a stupid suggestion: remove the logs and leave the lizards then we can all count them. ...........they really are clever little things perfect place to hide........

Dental health in Cyprus
can anyone say whether they consider visiting a dentist for a chipped tooth is cheaper in Cyprus than in the UK. not counting NHS treatment as it is virtually impossible to find a dentist who will help other than private. Approx cost for a chipped tooth is about £95 to £110. coming over soon so woul...

Re: Euro-Africa pipeline
Yes it would make you wonder about Turkey but don't forget it all comes down to economics and if settlement came then Turkey might soften their attitude a bit.

Euro-Africa pipeline
So Cyprus has signed an agreement to link up the pipelines to Egypt, Israel and Europe via Crete and Greece. Why is it they are going the long way round to get to Europe when if they settled with there countrymen in the TRNC they would have a much shorter pipeline through Turkey to Europe. It makes ...

Re: "N" Plate Vehicle Registrations
Oh dear now I really feel left out, have only got a "K" plate which I found out late last year at MOT time that it was older than I thought. still not to worry I had a new plate made up as the old one had faded and now its the best and shiniest part of the car. As it is only used for visit...

buying a car
further to my reply above:the registered address on the log book is our Tala address and the car is kept when not in use at the airport with Auto air parks for 250 euros a year. drop offs and pick ups included. Insured with Atlantic and when not in use suspended down to third party only. never had a...

Re: Buying car
no problem buying a car if you have a proper address in Cyprus. make sure you get it registered in both names on the log book because if one of a partnership should die then the car is held as part of the estate until probate is finished, and the other cannot drive it lawfully. also get the insuranc...

The last time I saw the hospice garden it was in the very early stage. If it is now complete, how about a nice picture for all who do not reside on the island.

Citizens advice bureau
Have just read in a Paphos life article in the Grapevine magazine about joint ownership of a car and the difficulties that arise when one half of a couple die. Can anyone please tell us where the citizens advice centre in Paphos is and hours of business. We wish to put our car into joint names to av...

Re: Can anyone recommend a car transporter please?
Leaving car at the airport is very reasonable. Safely kept in a compound and picked up and dropped off as many times as you like is inclusive to outside the terminal. Our family use the car as well so it could be in use at least 6 times a year with travel to and from Tala for added convenience, Bett...

Re: Can anyone recommend a car transporter please?
We are based in Tala and come twice a year. We insure ours with Atlantic and it is any driver over 24 and under 70. They do full breakdown and recovery inclusive also including bringing petrol to us when we have run out in the past. As we only use the car from May until November each year we then le...

Re: possible Google maps scam
This is probably a scam. They are asking you to go into your computer and carry out some task they control. I always click off the phone when some one unsolicited asks you to do this. If you have not asked for help then ignore it.
