Re: Accessing Gezy Beneficiary Record

According to GESY your doctor gives you his code and then emails you another code. You then enter both in your Beneficiary record. The problem we found is that our doctor give us his code but we never received an accompanying email. I rang GESY who said that our email addresses should be on the Doct...

Re: E-Mail confirmation Gesy

Alewfin the registration process seems to be different for different people. You were lucky that you had a copy of your S1 .. We didn't, but sent for one a month ago. It has still not arrived. We used a medical card as proof that we were entitled to an S1 / E121 Regarding your "I guess if you ...

Re: E-Mail confirmation Gesy

We posted copies of our S1, MEU3 and three month electricity bills with our GESY registration form on Tuesday 4th and received an email on Thursday 6th to say our application to be Beneficiaries had been approved. Very efficient. I guess if you provide the correct documents there should be few delay...

Re: Hellenic Bank - FATCA & CRS

I phoned the Hellenic Bank's Customer Officer who insisted that every non Cypriot whose tax status in the Hellenic Bank was not defined would have to complete the forms. Having told her that I had been a customer for nearly 15 years, a MEU3 holder and a Cyprus Tax Resident she acknowledged that perh...

Re: Hellenic Bank - FATCA & CRS

Dominic, financial services regs are increasingly global, especially where information on tax liabilities are concerned. Ian Ian, This is true so why hasn't every account holder of every bank in Cyprus received these letters ? Why does the United States want to know an account holders personal and ...

Hellenic Bank - FATCA & CRS

Has anyone else received a letter from the Hellenic Bank requesting completion of two forms (FATCA & CRS) to establish whether they are a U.S. persons ? The query I have. If you are not a U.S. person why do you need to submit private information (income, source of wealth and Politically Exposed ...

Re: GESY ENROLLMENT

Jeanne, My understanding is the same as yours. In order to be a Beneficiary of GESY you first have to Register and then Enrol which has to be approved especially if the person has selected S1 as their Eligibility. I find it hard to believe that anyone would be foolish enough to allow another person,...

Re: GESY ENROLLMENT

David The doctor of my choice was unable to process the application nor anybody elses who went to his office in Polemi last week. If the system works, they aren’t hoops, it’s the published process, and for many people who might not live near to their chosen doctor, or be unable to get there just to...

Re: GESY ENROLLMENT

tonee I did not have to produce any documentation just my white medical card. Why are people making it so difficult? It is an easy process if you visit your chosen doctor. It will be interesting to see if you are actually Registered. Have you have info back from GESY to say that you are now registe...

Re: GESY ENROLLMENT

Went to the Evangelismos this morning. Receptionist for Dr Maxim looked at my MEU3, filled out a small form & hey presto, I'm now signed up with a PD. I'll wait until they simplify the on=line system and attempt to be able to see my records. Was that Registration or / and Enrollment ? Was your ...

Re: GESY ENROLLMENT

Josef, Last week I phoned 'Newcastle' and they agreed to send out copies of our S1s. However, I do think it's the Cyprus authorities, specifically HIO, responsibility to check their records whether the person enrolling in GESY has a S1 because they did receive it and without it they wouldn't have be...

Re: GESY ... clear as mud

There is an element of the left hand not knowing what right hand is doing. Because I selected S1 surely GESY can check with the existing Health Authorities as they received my S1 years ago and only two weeks ago issued a new White Cyprus Health Card to me. Surely, instead of listing a whole range of...

Re: GESY ... clear as mud

I'm assuming that the advice the GESY call centre operatives are giving is misleading because an S1 holder may not be a permanent resident (MEU3) but could be Cyprus tax payer and therefore should pay. Why should a S1 holder not be a permanent resident? Even as a Cyprus tax payer you´ll not have to...

Re: GESY ... clear as mud

I checked our GESY records today after completing the Registration and Enrolment process yesterday. The Status said that the HIO had rejected the Enrolment but approved the Registration. Another part of the Status said that the Enrolment was 'Pending Approval'. Odd. I rang GESY for clarification. Th...

How does a Beneficiary do this as I haven't found an entry point in the GESY website to do this ?

Re: Whose jets?!!

Jim, You appear to be blaming foreign countries by implication because foreign jets are flying over land. You need to blame the Cyprus Government because its they who invite foreign countries to fly their jets over Cyprus land. The Cyprus Government do this because they are hung up (still) on the po...

I have my comprehensive diabetic (including tumor and cancer) blood tests done at the Polis Hospital primarily because its less of a hassle than the General and my drugs are much cheaper than if I bought them at any Pharmacy. Like others I use Pavlidou for my PSA blood tests. I find the service in C...

I usually just average out the exchange rates of when I transferred money over the year from my records, or a site such as this: https://www.ofx.com/en-au/forex-news/historical-exchange-rates/yearly-average-rates/ Many thanks. You would think that the Inland Revenue website would have the 2018 exch...
