Re: Cyprus Postal Changes 1.1.21
This is gong to be difficult for us, and I suspect for some others as we will not be unique.. Where you have to fill in the 'Sender Details' is is Mandatory to fill in the 'Street Name' We do not have one.. We live outside of our village at the side of a concrete track.. The 'lane' has no name ??? ...

Re: Right To Remain After Transition
So all of those that voted to leave should hold themselves prisoners to a union that they do not want because you think that your progeny have been badly treated........utter rubbish! Why on earth hold fast to a political and economic project that has lasted for 62 years in one form or another. It ...

Re: Right To Remain After Transition
I am entitled to the Passport by birth. Now that the UK have finally settled my status, which took them until 1981, I am able to progress the acquisition of a Cyprus Passport. This is the first point in my life that I have been able to do this. Anti EU since 1972, yet happily take an EU passport, s...

Re: Right To Remain After Transition
I am a fervent Brexiteer, have been since before the name was invented. Any sensible person would realise that things will change post Dec 31st. It is patently ridiculous to suggest that all of the estimated 31000 Brits who have no legal status in Cyprus, are the same people that voted for Brexit. ...

Re: Coronavirus: all arrivals from UK must self-isolate from Monday, irrespective of PCR status
Im not the sharpest pencil in the box, but if the UK vaccinated one million people a week, which I doubt very much they are in a position to carry this out,, then assuming you need at least two injections each, by my calculations it would be over two years, to do everyone or I'm I way out on my maths?

Re: Right To Remain After Transition
As far as I am aware a UK licence is Valid for driving in Cyprus until it expires.. Things may change with Brexit. Trev we all know how insurance companys operate, God forbid someone who has been living here for years, and has a serious accident, driving on a UK passport, I would bet my house on it...

Re: Right To Remain After Transition
I can see many peoples lives will be shattered because they failed to listen to warnings which were well advertised. I very much doubt it. In the first place, the authorities here will not be bothered to even find those who are not regular with their commitments. Secondly, even if they do find them...

Re: Right To Remain After Transition
We lived in Cyprus for 12yrs and I never changed my UK driving licence. I still had the green paper licence as I never had a plastic one before we left UK in 2004. My husband was driving on a UK medical licence which when it expired, he had to apply for a Cypriot Blue Peter licence and attend an in...

Re: Speed cameras step nearer as contract signed
I remember the fuss it made , was it true that camera engineers pointed the cameras the wrong way , No it wasn't true It WAS partially true. The first mounts oriented the cameras in the wrong direction but that was corrected. I did that myself once, I pointed my tv aerial, the wrong way, it took me...

Re: Speed cameras step nearer as contract signed
WHL, have you noticed that other well known posters on this board have supported my version of events here? So please stop bugging me. If you have been living in Cyprus as long as you have claimed, surely unless your head was in the sand, you should have heard or read about current events here? The...
