Re: Milikouri village today and dark times of liberation struggle

There is a very nice round trip though to avoid to go back the same way if you are continue to Kykkos, then Cedar valley, Panayia and back to Paphos. Pillow lavas

Even when touring around the country side for abandoned villages and old churches one is never far away from amazing geology. These two photos were made from the car window somewhere close to Episkopi - unlike the photo above from 2017 here one can see the pillow lavas in three dimensions including ...

Never been but it always looks tempting when walking past it.

(I think there was an earlier entry about this venue but it might have gone together with Flossie).

Re: Milikouri village today and dark times of liberation struggle

Very interesting thank you.
Some of the photos remind me a bit of Ticino.

When driving through Foini and Platres 2 days ago I was wondering how all these houses would cope with a forest fire? Milikouri must be similarly exposed. Scary thought.

Re: Possible rain today!!

In July and August we normally move our TV to the outside as it is much cooler on the (covered) terrace in the evenings than inside the house. Never did we have to worry about rain so far nor did we require a duvet to watch tv as was required to watch Jeremy and Boris last night... what’s happening ...

It's almost a year since we went there last and this time we managed to get a bit further up than your blog shows - we climbed the rope climbing.jpg and scrambled to one waterfall further beyond rope.jpg We then decided to turn back as my wife was left waiting at the second pool and the kids and I w...

Yet another great initiative - bravo.

Whatever approach they will take the result will be better than the current wasteland which really is an eyesore.

Sports bar?

This pm at 4 there is both the Wimbledon final and the F1 at Silverstone. In my family some want to watch Federer and others prefer to see the F1. So we are looking for a bar that shows both - any tips?

Thx. A.
