According to a friend who works for M&S, stores haven't been liable for non-compliance of shoppers for quite some time.

Re: Strong Wood Glue

Gorilla glue is probably the best, but you must follow the instructions on the pack to get the best out of it. And don't use too much at a time, as it expands.

'remember the word "mandatory" is not a legal requirement but purely a strong request.

Suggest you look up the word in a dictionary. e.g. "Seat belts are mandatory" means they are required bye law.

The NHS advice differs from site to site:

This says it's up to 28 units a week for men, 21 for women.

Voltarol and Voltaren are the same. Voltarol is the UK trade name.(check the Voltaren web site) I was recommended Voltaren Emugel here for tendinitis, as I cannot take ant-inflammatory tablets. As HiC says, it is remarkably good. However, when I went back to the UK recently I was surprised, to say t...

Dee: I think you'll find that the fuses inside a house - certainly older ones (10+ years) - are for overload only. That's why they rarely trip. The main fuse - often outside the property or in a communal area - is a safety fuse which trips more frequently.

Why? In the first place, neither car racing nor football are sports. They are games according to Ted Moult.
The difference between a game and a sport is simple. To play a sport, you have to change your shoes.

Scroll down to Red Categories, which includes UK. As far as I can see, no exemption for usual category of passengers (Cyprus citizens, permanent residents etc.)

We're not in GESY. We had text messages on Dec 1, the 6th month anniversary of our 2nd jab, saying we were now eligible for the booster, and we should use the walk-in vaccination centers. No mention of limitation to any specific day of the week.

Thanks Photolady. We have booked two tests, but the receipts for the tests don't indicate which of two possible numbers on the receipts are the ones to use on the PLF. Does anyone know how many digits there are in this important code? T.I.A. The booking reference on the PLF will initially indicate ...

You can also book a test on arrival at the airport test centres. Just Google the airport name and 2 day test to see the options, Jeanne From my experience, booking a test at the airport centre is best. I ordered the test kit by post from Randox. When I came to do the test, I found that the buffer s...

It's only 2 years. My neighbour hadn't been out since December 2019 and when they came recently they had to go to the Road Transport Department twice and re-register their car and pay a hefty fee.

Many thanks, Trev.

The odd thing is that the book I mentioned is a gift from my sister. I'm surprised I have to pay anything on that. Next time, she can ask a friend to bring anything in their suitcase!

Yes, I'll go to the main post office. Not an experience to look forward to, though.

I've had a text message from Cyprus Post telling me that I have to pay the vat on a parcel (a small book!). They have sent me a link which doesn't work (https://cyprus.post-delivery.online/). I have already registered with Thalis, but that seems be unconnected as Thalis doesn't know my PO box number...
