Re: Right To Remain After Transition

If a UK national has never registered, does not have a passport, has no intention of leaving Cyprus and uses a UK address for banking and driver's licences, etc how do the Cypriot authorities find them?? Just asking - this does not apply to me but I think there may be quite a few. How did they get ...

Re: Plenum rejects budget

Its very simple if the Budget isn't approved, which goes for any democratic country, then the Government has no spondoolies to pay for anything, usually resulting in a general election.

Re: Right To Remain After Transition

Its been known for ages, that any UK citizens, who have not bothered to register, will be in trouble after Jan 21, its very easy to see whos legit or not, when they have their passport swiped at the airport.

Re: Speed cameras step nearer as contract signed

WHL, what I wrote about your love of an argument once again is borne out. No matter what others opinions are.... Dee I think you should look up what a public forum means, it means as long as you are civil and not rude you post something, and others discuss it either agreeing with you, or disagreein...

Whether it's True or not what Dee wrote is correct, I remember the article clearly. I believe most of the fines were written off as there was some sort of amnesty..

Jim
I think it matters alot if what you are posting is true or false, otherwise we might as well just post fairytales.

Re: Pigeon Problem

The House across the road to us had a opening into its roof, over the years pigeons were using the inside of the roof as a hotel, unfortunately the owners live abroad and only visit a couple of weeks every year, I made contact with them and offered to get a ladder and block the hole for them, but di...

Re: Speed cameras step nearer as contract signed

€With respect ,,,,,Do you make this stuff up as you go along? please add one link to backup your claims. All this is perfectly true, at least insofar as the reports were published in the press. The papers were full of it and the fact that thousands of fines were not paid. From the organisation poin...

Re: Speed cameras step nearer as contract signed

You just love argument, unfortunately, I don't keep back numbers of the Cyprus Mail. This happened some time ago. At the time this saga about the new speed cameras was widely known and talked about. Dee Not a question about loving arguments, its a question of being able to back up sweeping claims, ...

Re: Speed cameras step nearer as contract signed

Yes, I remember another story that in the short time that the previous speed cameras were operational, they photographed so many cars jumping the lights that they caused problems to whichever dept that was tasked with sending out the notifications of fines to the affected motorists... And inevitabl...

Re: More woes from Cyprus Post. Now 54 countries affected.

Yesterday I received a registered letter from Germany which was sent 2 months and 3 days ago. At least they should offer faster - even though more expensive- options. There is a DHL aeroplane flying in everyday - why can’t they reserve some space for priority mail in that plane? Currently you´re on...

WHL, probably because the foreign fitters just fitted them the way that they did in their home country which drives on the right side of the road.... I doubt it very much, who ever had the job of fitting them, would of spotted in a millie second, which way the cars, were traveling, as I said, these...

Re: Speed cameras step nearer as contract signed

Yes, some MP's objected to the photos being taken of both front seat passengers, especially if they didn't happen to be their wives... The other and prob main reason given was that the cameras ordered came from a country which drives on the opp side of the roads. Dee MPs objected because of privacy...
