Re: Current Cyprus Lockdown -non green energy issues.
My home island of Guernsey in the Channel Islands set up pretty draconian measures right from the start and everybody goes about their business or pleasure with no masks and only self isolation on arrival into the Island. Other than for returning residents and freight, the port and airport are close...

Re: Do we need a TIN ??
As far as I am aware, every resident of Cyprus now has to complete a tax form annually, so yes, you will both have to get a TIN from the Tax Office (both, because everyone is taxed as an individual, not part of a couple). Not sure if you can do this online or by phone, or whether this will have to b...

I really enjoyed reading (and some years later, re-reading) the book. It made it to the "keep" bookcase.

Re: Plastic septic tanks?
I would have thought that plastic might be more resilient than concrete, Kay? Which is why it's always safer to have pvc liner in your pool than mosaic or ceramic tiles. As you know, Lloyd, my pool used to be infinity with an underground plastic balance tank. The tank split on more than one occasio...

Re: Plastic septic tanks?
I don't know whether it is true, I have only seen concrete ones. However, as Cyprus is in the earthquake zone, I would assume that a plastic tank, which, if it is working properly, will be more than half empty, will be more likely to crush and crack with the pressure of the soil around it.

Yes, but Devil you are not dealing with Paphos administration....
There are occasions when they seem to be a law unto themselves and interpret rules, regulations, whatever, somewhat differently to other districts.

Try Zaggoulos. They are on the left hand side, just on the traffic lights on the road down from the motorway roundabout to Superhome.

Have you considered hypnotherapy to cure your claustrophobia - or at least alleviate it sufficiently to enable you to have the MRI scan?
My friend is a fully qualified hypnotherapist, if you are interested I will pm you details.

My UK account is with Nat West International in Guernsey. As this is a separate entity from NW UK, albeit under the same umbrella, I hope they remain international in their customer base.

Re: New hunting season kicks off on Sunday
The only real problems every year Trev are expats from various countries complaining about Cypriots hunting in their own country. As long as there are no fires then so be it! Iβm lucky to have the privilege to live here and accept their way of life. A lot of the complaining expats are simply compla...

Re: Roadworks on Paphos-Limassol motorway to continue until September 16
Drove to Limassol today and didn't notice any roadworks. Just signs that have been at the side of the road just past Pissouri for the past two weeks or more where more earth retaining blocks have been placed against the foot of a large bank.
