Re: Polemi Festival
We've been in Ayia Napa for the last week, and only got back yesterday. We did hear the fireworks though, and the partying went on for some time afterwards. You can't expect every event to get supported by everybody though. Lots of Brits (lots of all nationalities, really) turned up for the Tulip fe...

Re: Smart phones
Only one problem I have had with any mobile is water, they do not work from immersion in water I have found, the new S9 is supposed to be waterproof a definite advantage for a cackhanded owner like me. Photo a Samsung J6...Excellent model. Speaking of which; I flew my quad copter right into the swi...

Excellent? Really? You are basically saying you would condone any atrocity carried out in the name of the UK without question.

Re: Brexit is like ...
Hardly coincidence. It is very boring when you repeat the same thing over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over a...

Re: Average monthly living expenses
Why not just rent an appartment for a couple of weeks, and keep an eye on your spending habits? See how much you actually spend, not think you will spend. One persons idea of cutting corners will be another person's idea of extravagance.

Archimandrita
If you have ever driven up to the Troodos through the wind farms above Kouklia, you will have passed through Archimandrita. You probably drove straight through, as it is only the start of your journey. Next time, set off an hour or two earlier and allow yourself time to explore this little jewel... ...

Re: Driving Licences and Brexit.
Not if it affects all the Cypriots living in the UK, and there are far more of them than UK expats living in Cyprus. So I don't think for one moment that Cyprus will implement any EU-led measures that do that. Of course, if the UK try and boot out all the Cypriot expats then all bets are off, but th...

I think it's to do with the quality of the screen and the cameras. An ultra hires screen is a double edged sword though. All those extra pixels eat up bandwidth.

Re: Amazon
I've used RSS and LHUKCY for just that. Both were great. It takes about a month to arrive, but does get here in the end. Also, because the items come by ship, there are no issues with batteries etc.

Re: Amazon
The biggest problems we have with Amazon is when they use Royal Mail to ship. They invariably turn up late and damaged. And they get damaged at the UK end. You can tell this because they are put in a Royal Mail "Sorry we used your package as a football" bag. At least their returns policy ...

Re: Amazon
Looks like it may have to be courier service then Dominic. In an earlier comment the postal service is not recommended so that eliminates a PO Box address and unless a signature is required for a package then it'll go missing if an attempt is made to deliver to my residential address. What comment ...

Sorry Dominic Did not read the blurb at the top of the section - slapped wrist !!. Quite happy for you to remove the post - as I cannot see a way of doing it Ken No worries. I will leave the post as it does highlight good ways of complaining to companies, and you didn't do a hatchet job or anything...

You need an address. Simple as that. If you don't have an address, get a PO Box from the post office.

So Josef, what was the beer like? I used to like the potent ones, like Owd Rodger, Old Peculiar and Dark Ruby Mild.

Re: Chloraka beer festival.
I'm not interested in the Beer Festival but I'm glad I read the posts as I find myself far more interested in Mount Athos. Well why not start a thread about Mt Athos then? That way, the thread about the beer festival can be about the beer festival, and the thread about Mt Athos can exist in it's ow...
