I anticipate he will be 'helping police with their enquiries' when he does regain consciousness.

Re: Paphos Immigration Office - Appointment Only

Galini is correct - many people are now eligible for GESY state healthcare because they retired early or do not meet other criteria purely because they now have the MEU3 Permanent Residence Yellow Slip. Quite a few people who have lived here for several years were eligible for state healthcare prior...

Re: Waiting for your MEU3 to arrive from Nicosia?

If all else fails, then a visit to the Civil Registry and Migration Department in Nicosia is probably the answer. Very helpful staff and all sorted very quickly.

Waiting for your MEU3 to arrive from Nicosia?

Just read this on a FB group - may be worth a go if your MEU3 Yellow Slip is taking longer than usual to arrive in the post from Nicosia: You can text to 1199, write status and the application number from your application receipt. You will receive a text message back letting you know what stage your...

Re: Paphos Immigration Office - Appointment Only

Also reading that people this week are being given dates for their interviews in April. Met a couple of friends who become eligible for MEU3 in July and have advised them to go to make their appointment in May. We became eligible for MEU3 in December and made our appointment in September and had the...

Re: Paphos Immigration Office - Appointment Only

Read on FB that a couple turned up at Immigration earlier in the week and were duly given their numbers for the interview. Later a group of people came in and started their own list and tried to push in. Not quite an altercation as fortunately one person had taken a photo of the original list on his...

Perhaps ask a Personal Doctor to register onto GESY system if having problems doing it on-line?

Re: help please info on communal pool closure

Another reason why I am so pleased we sold our apartment and are now renting is because the maintenance and upkeep of the complex is dependent on each owner making timely contributions to the communal expenses and funding major projects as and when required. Our pool is rarely used even in the peak ...

Re: Pensions boost for Britons living in the EU

In order to qualify for a UK State Pension at least 10 years of NI contributions in the UK have to be made and a pro rata pension will be paid out dependent on the number of qualifying years between 10 and 35 years. I will get a pro-rata state pension on this basis. Until now, as it may change due t...

Re: Reasonably priced lounge furniture

Shall check their FB page and also furniture r us in Emba on a daily basis. New2You and SAMS also visited this aftern...

Reasonably priced lounge furniture

Just been let down by a major furniture store in Paphos where we had ordered two lounge chairs last week. Assured they were in stock but at another store. Duly arranged for the sofa to be collected by one of the charity shops and waited for the delivery. Nothing forthcoming so we returned to the sho...

Re: help please info on communal pool closure

Interestingly the committee of our apartment complex in Chloraka has just received written notification that the pool must be fenced, licence obtained, provision of lifeguard etc within the next month or the swimming pool will be closed.

Just checked my records for when I applied for GESY on-line and on the screenshot it was just digits ie 0500XXXX whereas you are putting a '-' in the format.

Re: Exchanging Driving Licence

That's interesting Mike as I have a Temporary Driving Licence on file (November 2018) in front of me and it states near the bottom of the page just above the signature: ''Valid for 30 days from the delivery date, only for driving in the Republic of Cyprus''. Below the delivery date is written in and...

Re: Exchanging Driving Licence

My paper licence was valid for 30 days and I could only drive in the Republic of Cyprus. Hence my visit to the MOT a few days before it expired as I anticipated I would have to be issued another temporary paper licence until my pink card was ready. Likewise, last year, same format when a friend lost...

Re: Exchanging Driving Licence

I went to exchange mine in October & still waiting to hear when the Cy plastic card will be available for collection from DoT office. So does that mean you are still using the paper licence issued in October as that has an expiry date on it? Not everyone is notified - I wasn't - and so I went to th...

Re: MEU 3

Still waiting for ours since Septembef 2018 tried everything possible to know why we haven't got them, everyone passes the buck. This is CYPRUS! Have you been to the Civil Registration and Migration Department in Nicosia? I went there to sort out a query on my Yellow Slip and it was sorted there an...
