where's the science in that ?????
As you are talking about the UK, maybe the science is in the obvious fact that there is no border between the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland, therefore policing it has become practically impossible. Perhaps the correct expression should be "pragmatic".

Re: Complacency setting in.

However there were a couple of disinfectant dispensers dotted round the shop. Possibly about four in 10 shoppers wore masks (not supplied) and gl...

Re: Lidl

Now you tell me! I have worn a beard for many years. I did not visit the barber for about a month before a decree stopped me from doing so and, since then, I just let it grow. By last weekend, it was worthy of any priest! However, I had an appointment on the Monday and am now with a number two beard...

Re: Complacency setting in.

Three months ago, I visited the Bank of Cyprus oncology Centre. Other than a difficult-to-see bottle of hand disinfectant, there were no visible signs of a problem. Practically none of the staff were wearing masks or gloves although some visitors/patients were. In fact, I was a little surprised at t...

Can't believe some people are actually trying to defend this nonsense.
Sorry, Dominic. To which nonsense are people trying to defend? To those who think the guy should be paid, to those who think the guy should not be paid or those who are crowdfunding the guy?

Re: Cyprus expects 600,000 tourists by August

To quote a well known character, 'I don't believe it! '. Where is he going to find 600,000 passengers who are willing to take a risk, who are possibly poorer off than they were a few months ago, who would have to risk being transported into a lockdown hotel, who could not be sure that their return f...

Some problems with the various news channels (BBC and sky in particular) over the past week or two but the programme channels seem to be okay. My guess is that there is so much news the people wanted to see that it is overloading the system. The worst was during Dominic's ordeal on sky, which more o...
