Re: Glastonbury - a non-event

How many members on this site actually pay the BBC licence fee? How can you criticise the running and or bias of it when you do not pay towards the funding of it? Why do you have to pay a TV licence, for you to be able to criticise it, Many on here dont pay income tax, does it follow they shouldn't...

Re: Glastonbury - a non-event

Interesting reading https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Criticism_of_the_BBC this one sums it up for me, Overstaffing" The BBC has been criticised for "overstaffing" news, sporting and cultural events and in doing so, both wasting licence fee money and using its dominant position to control the coverage o...

Re: Glastonbury - a non-event

Somebody, remind us how many Pedophiles the BBC employed? TV licences are an outdated form of tax, should of been scrapped years ago. With the exception of iPlayer, if you’re not watching or recording live TV, you don’t need a licence. So other catch-up TV services, streaming or downloading programm...

Also called "travel corridors", air bridges will allow tourists to travel between two countries without the need to quarantine.
Under the present circumstances I can't imagine any country wanting an air bridge with UK.
Unfortunately things seem to be going backwards

Ring

A balding, white haired man walked into a jewelry store this past Friday evening with a beautiful much younger gal at his side. He told the jeweler he was looking for a special ring for his girlfriend. The jeweler looked through his stock and brought out a $15,000 ring. The man said, 'No, I'd like t...

Dont worry they will catch up with you in time, as for no street cleaning etc, you cant choose what bits of council tax, you want to pay for, some of my local taxes go towards the local library , we have never used the library, should we start complaining about that? the fact is we pay a fraction o...

Re: Village Community Charge

I think we are all aware that there has always been corruption here! Not the worst in the world but hardly good. Previous Mayors/Community leaders in Paphos & in Kissonega, and I'm sure others whose names I don't recall, have fallen foul of the law. I'm guessing that these local authorities must ha...

Re: Village Community Charge

How do you expect local councils to collect your trash twice a week, keep the streets clean, etc etc etc Well, I live in the fields, so there is no refuse collection or street cleaning. I´ve never been asked for any fees whatso...

Why would they send anyone audited accounts, do you get a copy of audited accounts when you pay your council rates back in ...

Re: Officials aim for Cypriot ‘Riviera’ in Akamas

Supply and demand. the vast majority of tourists want to stay in hotels withing toe touching distance of the sea, not inland villages, no matter how quaint they might be. I agree, but there are more than enough hotels already blighting the coast, all the way from Cape Greco to Polis. Why spoil the ...
