Perhaps you would care to enlighten her.
Once you register for asylum, you have to wait in that country until you are processed by the authorities, you just can't jump on a ferry to Greece.

Re: Sellers beware

Thinking about it, I don't have problem with what the agent did, I tell them, I want 100,000 for my property, he gets me the 100,000 grand, if he manages to get more for himself good luck to them, my fault for not asking for more in the first place

Having more space for both refugees and economic migrants in another purpose built centre will be a good thing! It’s a pity we don’t hav a proper ferry to Greece because lots of these people would like to move on...

Re: Second-hand car dealers - recommendations please?

I am looking to purchase a small second-hand car from a dealer. Nissan Micra, Mazda Demio...something like that. Can anyone recommend some reputable dealers in the Paphos area? Many thanks. When ever buying a second hand car, when you find one you like, then pay for a mechanic of your choice to giv...

Re: Armenian Genocide

WHL I own up, I do not know much about the Armenian genocide. I don't think Trump worries about the niceties of diplomacy though, not sure he understands the concept. I suspect the USA has given up on Turkey, and its probably a matter of time before Erdo kicks them out of Incirlik airbase. Turkey i...

Re: Armenian Genocide

Recognition of the Armenian genocide is long overdue and I can't understand why the UK doesn't stand up and recognise it as well. I too had an Armenian Cypriot friend who explained it all to me. Hundreds of men, women and children marched naked out of Turkey without food, or anything else for that ...

Re: Theft

It means that you cannot set your own interest rates which is sometimes necessary to keep you out of financial trouble. As a Economics simpleton, this makes sense to me. https://www.economicshelp.org/europe/benefits-euro/ That, of course is a very pro one sided opinion obviously not written by an I...

Re: Armenian Genocide

There are some excellent documentaries on YouTube about this subject. Jim I have an Armenian friend, and have heard harrowing stories about how his family fled and made their way to Cyprus, I didnt think the USA would ever take this step, knowing how they have mollycoddled Turkey since the cold war...

Well done the USA, after many years of putting the USAs need not to upset Turkey, finally the murder of one and half million Armenians by Ottoman Turks has been recognised,

Re: My first week driving electric SUV

If there is no electric you cannot get petrol as the pumps are electric! Either way you have a problem. Not strictly correct, I was out in the USA near the Grand canyon, and went to fill up, they had a power cut, but the guy had a handle which he put in the side of the pump and turned it out came t...

Re: Great idea,do as airlines do.

We have all done it,we enquire about a flight on line, get the price and think about it.We decide to book it the next day or so and yes the price has gone UP. Being smart I thought I would learn off that,so I phoned my nephew in the UK who sells window frames and said do as airlines do.When some one...

Re: Good People

If you found "loose" Euros ( not in purse or wallet etc ) so no ID, lying on the ground what would you do with the cash. Would you hand it in to Police, keep it or what would you do? Maybe it depends on where it was found, eg. outside bank at ATM, in a shop, on a bus. I think it all depends on wher...

Would just like to share this with you, I was recently back in London, and after a day out in the west end, and food shopping we got back home about 8pm, whilst emptying my pockets, I couldn't find my wallet, went back to the car, searched it inside out, but couldn't find it, panic then sets in, I h...
