Re: Anyone help with a few questions on Yellow Slip application please.

There are signs in the Immigration Office saying that with regard to the MEU3 there is no longer any need to have your marriage certificate apostilled. Whether this applies to the yellow forms I do not know. May be worth checking at Immigration or with Gwenny-Mary, to possibly save you the hassle an...

How would anyone be able to get an EU passport from the TRNC? I just don't understand: the TRNC is not part of the EU.

But you forget, Uncle D - Cyprus is wonderful and the people are so friendly....
And her friend was a male so probably didn't think twice about it.
Do I detect a hint of sarcasm there :?

And how do you know the nationality of the driver who picked them up?

Re: The Pros and Cons of Flu Jabs

Might give it a try but not convinced it would 'keep me standing up the right way' as suggested in Item 13! 8-) Often referred to as nature's Viagra ;) Has one of the highest anti-oxidant levels of any fruit or veg. So many health-giving properties on so many fronts. Like galexinda, we avoid...

You can have mine Dee. Never had a flu vaccine and don't intend to start now; never get flu either. I suspect that the antioxidants and anti-bacterial and anti-viral benefits of the pomegranite I eat each day keeps me standing up the right way :) Many other incredible health benefits too: https://ww...

Re: Breathtaking FPV video of Cyprus

I also agree that constructive criticism of a video should be allowed. Since when are we allowed to have an opinion on a movie, a play, a new building, a sculpture, painting, restaurant, supplier service or product, but not a video? Were the video-maker to read the early comments on this thread he m...

But mouse, you live on an island with mixed cultures! One of the things I like about Cyprus is that we have a complete mix of cultures: Cypriots, Brits, people from all over Europe, Chinese, Israelis, Phillipinos, in fact most places on earth...and we all get on in complete harmony, without laws req...

Re: Encouraging news over Brexit.

As I have lived abroad for over 15 years I am ineligible to vote in the UK elections. But in the light of what you have witnessed over the past year or two with regard to the shambles known as Brexit, if you were eligible to vote, which way would you vote? I believe you previously said you voted to...

What makes matters worse, in both Paphos and other cities, is that all government building directions sign...

Re: Encouraging news over Brexit.

As we haven't Brexited yet, surely the increase in the weekly food shop cannot be accredited to Brexit? Oh dear...where to start? :? You will have noted Varky that the pound slid sharply from €1.40 when the referendum was first announced to an average of €1.13 for much of the time since. Much food ...

My system is now working 100% Jim; strange isn't it? Though I didn't check catch-up tonight. One thing to be said for our mutual provider is that when they are alerted to a problem, a fix usually follows a day or so later.

Re: My first week driving electric SUV

If there is no electric you cannot get petrol as the pumps are electric! Either way you have a problem. Not so. Petrol/oil is a different ball game entirely. Like most governments, the UK government stipulates that 90 days petrol must, by law, be kept in storage in case of national emergency. A gov...

Well done WHL for sharing your story and your sentiments. Worth reflecting too that if any of us on this forum had been born in Syria, Iraq, Turkey or any of the north African countries we would almost certainly be Muslim. We have to judge people for who they are, not based on their religeous affili...

If ever a cautionary note was needed against the purchase of all-electric cars, the wildfires raging in California are but a prime and most recent example. In response to the fires the electricity authority has reportedly cut power to over 200,000 homes affected. Which means that if you have all-ele...

Lloyd. No point in arguing with you, you failed to vote, you complain bitterly about the result, then post every remain article that you can find. It's boring. Ha! Have to laugh: you can't fault me for any of the predictions I've made over the years about the eventual Brexit outcome: "This'll all e...
