Alan The 2016 referendum will never be accepted by Remain because they believe they were cheated by underhand politics and lies and that's where we are today and have been for the last three years. Jim Additionally, Jim, we have seen no overall benefit with leaving the customs union and single mark...

Re: Not what we wanted to hear: it's looking like a No Deal :(

Jimgym - I provided proof, including videos from pre-brexit referendum, of ALL of the key players - Johnson, Cummings, Gove, Davis and many more, stating CATEGORICALLY that leaving the EU was not leaving the single market and much more... This all amounted to MUCH MORE than David Cameron's one appea...

Jimgym. You are wrong we were told we would leave the single market. I’ve given you the link to proof. You reciprocate. Also, everyone did know the implications of staying. It would be the status quo. All the rubbish about European armies, admitting Turkey and so on were lies to spur the Little Brit...

Re: Not what we wanted to hear: it's looking like a No Deal :(

Everyone knows that 3-years later, even the swing from older to younger voters, even with the same number voting, then remain would win - even if nobody changed their minds. So, we have a country, ruled by the opinion of retired people whose lives will be affected the least, deciding the future of ...

Re: 3 years for sexually abusing a child

The problem with the ‘jail justice’ is an admission that the lowest life’s in society should somehow administer justice. So, we expect possibly other sex offenders to beat up another, because he has done worse? Justice should deal appropriately with these deviants. Sadly, most sex offenders are well...

Just because Cameron (or anyone else) said something on a TV programme, doesn’t mean it was absorbed by the populace....

Re: Pound doing better

I track the pound-Cypriot pound - Euro - Swiss Franc over the 13 years I’ve been involved in property in Cyprus. The average should be around 1.22 to the pound. It has gone down to 1.02 and been up near 1.40

Re: Not what we wanted to hear: it's looking like a No Deal :(

If the majority of the population really want to leave - why not have a second referendum to underpin the first? Or are the proponents of leave afraid or are the proponents of democracy only in favour of single-decision democracy?

Nope - resin bonded is essentially a smooth aggregate mixed with resin and laid over concrete.

My swimming pool is like that.

Aquila - no knowledge of the Ford issue, but if true, totally wrong.

However, in the greater scheme of things, it pales into insignificance when we look at the negatives of leaving.

I have also asked for any reasons for leaving and nothing. Anyone I know or who have heard asked about it have come out with the usual garbage of EU policies, protecting our borders, sovereignty, but when it came down to it, many were purely down to anti-immigration and some pure racism, or imperial...
