Jim - dod you mind sharing, via PM, the details? I have a mixture of old and some new systems and from energy viewpoint might consider new ones....

Re: UK - NHS doctors vote to stop charging overseas patients

This is misleading, but then it is the Daily Mail. Health 'tourism' estimated to cost up to £180m a year. The majority of the costs are either from EU nationals visiting, that can be recoverable - around £500m and Migrants or those who are temporarily here and cannot or won't be billed. This can be ...

I had the same solar units fitted by GA..... very pleased with all aspects.... I suspect I have a leak on a pool, that has a solid structure, no liner, coming from one of the drains or pipework, as excessive water usage, but no visible leak. Interested in details of company you are using, if yu do n...

Re: Photovoltaic electricity

I had a 5kw system fitted in February. I went for a system that allows you to generate electricity, even when one or more panels are in shadow. It is rare to have all panels perfectly positioned, with no shadows from chimneys, trees or even birds. They are known as “Power Optimisers” that effectivel...

Milk is too cheap in the UK. Farmers dont make money on it, unless they have huge livestock numbers and subsidies

Re: 18 June PM debate: 5 'candidates'

It was a terrible show - a waste of an hour of my life. The moderator, as Varky says, was terrible. No control. Needed a far firmer hand and the pre-set questions made it too easy for them all. None of them are PM material and at Least Ian Blackford of the SNP had the cahones to call out Boris as ra...

Re: The catacombs of Agios Mnasonas

Unfortunately, religious places have become so 'touristy' - I used to get upset in places like York Minster and the St Peter's, when people show no respect for them being places of worship for many - with ignoring eating and drinking inside, taking photos or talking, laughing and carrying on - but p...

Re: Rory Stewart gets the Hedgehog Vote

I think that, at present, it is looking more than likely Boris will be PM. I suspect he won't get support from the EU for a radical enough change to the deal, within the timescales. He, therefore, has to extend the period - which will alienate his buddies in the ERG and right of the party, or go for...

Within the parliamentary term, Scotland would vote leave as boris would take a no-deal brexit and Scotland would overwhelmingly vote independence. End of UK

Boris will be the last PM of the UK. Guaranteed. He will also cause a fractious split int he Tory party that may end the Conservatives as the largest party and hand right-wing power-sharing to the idiot Farage.

Re: MPs use House Brexit debate to push ouster of British bases

Varky - not a situation where “best you can do” is relevant. I was simply warning that Wikipedia isn’t failsafe, but wasn’t in the argument to try to find sources.... I think most of us know Britain coerced Cyprus into the SBAs. It may have partly suited Cyprus at the time - Independence comes in ma...

I do wonder if Britain stockpiling is creating the shortages in Cyprus. I have heard if already short supplies of some drugs in the UK as well, so maybe more than any brexit effect

I think Britain has to make a statement about the bases and the issue of free movement, never mind leasing them for a proper fee
