Re: Easy jet
Well if BA can maintain their LCA to LHR flights at least BA are using their aeroplanes and the pilots are keeping in current flying practice. If BA can do this, why not EJ? As Firefly said BA are probably taking EJ's potential customers business. EJ seem to have forgotten about keeping their custom...

Re: Easy jet
Hi Jackie, Your comments are helpful to me. I am getting sick of the game being played by EJ, who continue to offer 3 x flights per week from Paphos. Then scrub them all. It's become their' go to' remedy. Whilst I sympathise with them, as I do with all airlines who are caught up by Boris's on and of...

Re: Easy jet
I had the same email too. My flight to Bristol was on 5 June. However, the eml suggested that I rebook my flight. I notice that EJ flights as per their website say that these flights should resume from 17 Jul. I wonder why EJ show flights from PFO to Bristol will run3 times weekly from 17Jul, as if ...

Re: Coronavirus: No new deaths as 29 cases recorded (updated)
Actually, the 29 new cases which were previously reported yesterday were only the result of the rapid antigen testing and not the full count. Unfortunately it turns out that there were actually 77 new cases, plus 2 deaths. The remainder were the PCR tests which are tested separately, and many in the...

Re: Cyprus in trouble with EU over failure to protect Natura 2000 sites
Yes, no surprise at all.Only lip service has been paid to its EU obligations to turn the Akamass area into a Natura 2000 National Park. Instead successive Govt's have an eye to allow some lucrative new developments to the fringes of the park area.

Re: Profiteering or making up lost ground?
I've eaten at two places recently. One a village taverna, the other a well known established restaurant in town. Both places gave us a great welcome back! The owner of the village taverna has been doing takeaways during lockdown. Both establishments had left their meal prices virtually the same as b...

Re: Police investigate case of attempted murder after parking dispute
Yes, but unless the car driver had premeditated murder on his mind, presumably there was some sort of argument immediately before and with his temper rising he hoped to get the man to move out of the way so he could park there.
Just a possible scenario.

Re: No new countries added to UK Green List, according to BBC.
He started very early after becoming PM. Do you remember when he sacked all his experienced older MP's? Which left him with inexperienced younger men, presumably most of them friends. We'll probably never know whether he later regretted his hasty early actions. We have also learnt that he can be ver...

Re: Where to get a pcr test
My friend who was about to return to the UK, booked her PCR test at the Lab which is opposite Paps. She went just before 9am and received her test result by the same evening. She paid €50 for it. She was pleased with their service.

No wonder so many 'hopefuls' had registered as candidates at the recent parliamentary elections! From memory the total of these was around 650 contesting 59 seats.

It's in the harbour area where the absence of the usual number of tourists is most noticeable.

Think of another, 'senior advisor' who broke lock down rules last year. And was later exonerated by the PM.

Oh, I forgot about the one of the Coral Bay Rd! Which together with the 4 in the village makes 5 pharmacies. Yet they all stay in business.

Jeba, You would be wise to act on this good advice. You really appear to need professional advice, so select a good architect, surveyor and so on The architect should be better able to help you select a good builder. Also, if you haven't already got a solicitor, you will need one who can advise you....

Trev, it's indeed surprising that no pharmacist has seen a good business opportunity. You would think that Polemi would already have one. Here in Chloraka we have no less than 4 of them! I remember when the Pharmacy first opened in Tala, just after a doctor who had been practicing in that village mo...

Re: No new countries added to UK Green List, according to BBC.
It seems that the attitude among some in the UK is veering towards being more insular. However a part of your tourist industry is really suffering, both travel agents, overseas tour operators and last but not least Britains airlines. Yet no one seems to care if /when covid is over some remaining air...

Re: No new countries added to UK Green List, according to BBC.
It's ironic that Boris is effectively preventing British citizens from having a holiday abroad, yet does anyone know if the international flights into British airports are still running? If they are there will still be a risk of new covid variants entering the UK. What's the point of countries spend...
