Re: Sandy beach near Lemba.

Isn't that way they encourage surfboarding? I've always been perplexed by that, considering the reputation and the signs.

I knew of your tragic loss already Max, but still sorry to hear about it. Chin up.

And just think, if only people like you had bothered to get off their arse and vote in the referendum, this wouldn't have happened. So enough with the hand wringing. Pound falls by less than a cent after Merkel apparently said deal unlikely.

No plunge was observed. Reports suggest Merkel didn't say that anyway. Nothing to see here. Move along.

In answer to the original question, the song only required three men to be standing there. Paul would have been redundant. I suppose he could have walked off with Helen at the end...

The UK don't have to. However, if they want to have a trade agreement with them then this is the sort of thing that will have a big impact on it.

Reminds me of the way the UK treated interpreters.

Merely the actions of a government wanting to show it is serious about leaving. Nothing is certain with Brexit until it actually happens.

Re: Airlines, how can they fall for this?

The main reason they do it is to get through the security check at the airport more quickly, I would imagine.

But karma can be a bitch.

I shall make a copy of this thread and strip out the non-condolence posts, then post it as a separate thread in general.

I shall also lock this.

Dominic, an excellent piece of research and publication. Thank you for this. I doubt that many readers would ever have ventured into the pastures new that you have travelled on this route. You called for comment. For one who did get to Part II, 10/10 I understand much more the topography now and ap...

I have chosen not to post much because very recently I lost my dear husband of 45 years.

Do not point the finger when you do not know what is going on in someone else's life. Your usual 'go' at me is not welcome at this time.
Sorry for your loss, Firefly. :(

For Jackie

Sad news emerged in a thread that Jackie's husband of 45 years has recently passed.

It seemed more appropriate to move the memorials to their own separate thread.

Sorry for your loss, Firefly. :(

And in terms of benefits, how about being able to abolish the Common Agricultural Policy? Incidentally, for all of Boris Johnson's perceived idiocy, I can't help but notice that the focus is now on leaving with a deal as opposed to leaving without a deal. The notion of perhaps not leaving at all se...
