Re: A long read about the motorway

Must be a new arrival, as I was there yesterday taking some photos for a blog on the route. There's a nice little gorge below that road. The motorway will run to the right of this pic, if the plans are accurate.

It surprised me too, especially as she is often out photographing stuff. I see and hear them every year, but they had somehow eluded her up until now.

Re: How will Britain recover politically after Brexit?

But what will replace them? You have the libdems, but I can't see Farage's party surviving long after Brexit.

Re: Photo competition: “Traditional Occupations of Cyprus”

Glad to see that there is no fee for entering this time. I couldn't believe they were charging people to enter the competition for the exhibit at Kennedy Square.

How will Britain recover politically after Brexit?

This isn't about Brexit, more the aftermath. No matter what eventually transpires, there are huge fissures running through both the Tories and Labour. Yet what will be needed going forward is a firm and decisive hand. Where is that going to come from?

Well I don't have either the time or inclination to police the politics section, so I have resurrected the Politics for Moderates section.

If you want a more polite and sensible debate, post there.

Re: Does David Cameron regret the referendum...

HiC, she's got a point. This isn't a junior common room, and it is getting a bit tiresome. In fairness, that sums up Brexit too. The same goes out to all Brexiters posting abuse. It is now officially boring. If you want to debate politics, do it in a grown up fashion. And no, this does not mean like...

Re: If you are wondering why it has been quiet today...

The weirdest thing is some people could still get on during the day. I only implemented my fix about half an hour ago but some of you were able to post earlier. That is the problem.

If you are wondering why it has been quiet today...

There is a DNS error. What this means is that for some reason the network address of the server isn't getting passed around the globe like it should be. Unfortunately, two companies are involved in fixing it; the domain registrars, and the web hosts. It's actually the domain registrar's fault, but t...

Re: What a waste of tax payers money ?

Boris could have accepted the ruling of the British Court in edinburgh, but had the right to appeal through the Supreme Court. What’s next, the European court of Justice? Gina Miller and her backers could have accepted the ruling of the English court, or the Irish court but didn't..... Gina Miller ...

Get Ready For Brexit - Message from the High Commisioner

The British government has launched the Get Ready for Brexit campaign, for those that use Facebook there is a short video here: https://www.facebook.com/204010523005302/posts/3023084934431166?sfns=mo     The message is that there are 4 things that Brits overseas should do: 1. From White River Beach to Arodes

After a recent swim on an Akamas beach, we drove back to Polemi over one of our favourite off-road routes. Let's see what the Akamas had to show us along the way...

A long read about the motorway

Here's a link that may be interesting to those of you with a smattering of Greek. It is a rather large planning document concerning the new motorway. There is a picture of the route on page 365. NB the document takes a while to load. http://www.moa.gov.cy/moa/environment/environmentnew.nsf/All/1F954...

Re: Problem Logging in to Gmail

I think google now class Outlook as insecure, as it stores your password. My gmail account got an email telling me that an application had been blocked. I followed a link in there and in order to get Outlook and gmail working again I had to tell GMail to allow less secure applications.
