Re: Panorama

Why would anybody comment on what Corbyn has been up to? Of the two, Trump wields far more power. What power does Corbyn have at all?

Limni Crystal Hunting

We've long been fans of hunting for exotic crystals in the countryside of Cyprus. Half the fun of it is finding an interesting geological location. But it can also be a lot of hard work. So we thought we would show you it is possible to find some nice crystals with nothing more than a little hammer....

Surprised the lefties on here have not mentioned the racism investigated by Panorama into the Labour party and the Corbynisty alliance!
I missed your comments on Trumps' recent racist outbursts as well. Where are they?

Re: Cricket

No, number of wickets is irrelevent. It is the score that counts. If the scores had tied, then they would have counted who hit the most fours and sixes, which was England. This was why NZ needed to get more than England in the "Super Over".

These are the rules.

Re: The Pros and Cons of Fishing

It does happen more frequently than you think. As a forum owner I occasionally have to get involved, so have seen it second hand (ie nobody has sued Paphos Life, just people posting on it). This is why, for instance, I close down threads where two businesses or a business and a person are having a r...

No, NOT at all funny and should be BANNED completely in public service vehicles. My wife has various allergies and any hint of cigarette smoke could cause her to have a reaction.
You could say the same thing about cat hair. I like the new avatar by the way. :)

Re: Smoking in Ambulance

Not as bad as the petrol tanker driver smoking whilst delivering petrol at the local petrol station! Petrol attendants in my local station smoke and drink coffee, ten feet away from pumps while petrol is being dispensed, only a matter of time. I was once having a crafty fag in the loo of a ferry bo...

Re: The Pros and Cons of Fishing

I've split this from Max's thread. By all means discuss fisheries policies in Cyprus, but not on review threads. It is unfair to burden a specific restaurant with the guilt or otherwise of an entire industry. May I also remind everybody that we accept positive reviews only, for two reasons: 1. There...

Re: Pedestal Fans

Max's one is about the size of a fridge. They have similar one in Philipos and in the kebab joint we ate in near Polis the other night. Actually, we were in Coffee Island near Pinguino's this morning, and they wheeled one out there too.

Re: Cyprus population up +13.4% in 2018, fourth highest rise in EU

The original headline has been misquoted by several sources. It is actually 13.4 per 1000. Written as o/oo . So a 1.34 percent increase. 864,200 on January 1 2018, rising to 875,900 in 2019. Actually I get 1.0135 (so a 1.35% increase) for 8759/8642, but they've probably made some adjustment, or I'v...
