Re: Rory Stewart gets the Hedgehog Vote

Devil

No I don't see him as one with oratorical greatness, I see him as a complete time and money waster. You see him as a man equal to Greek philosophers, that's your view and in spite of what you say, I disagree.

Each to their own.

Re: Rory Stewart gets the Hedgehog Vote

Sorry, I've just lost the will to live !

When was this rubbish discussed in Parliament, If indeed it was, they are wearing poppies. If true, then our M.P.s are truly having a laugh at our expense.

Re: Who would of thought?

In the grand scheme of things, I don't think it will matter one bit, I don't think he'll become PM anyway. Not a man to inspire confidence.

Re: Can things get worse?

Jim I respect your views, but I well remember the unions trying to bring this country to it's knees, the closure of their places of work was the result. Arthur Scargill did quite well for himself, unlike the miners that he used. The trouble with strikes for more pay is that in the end, the cost of t...

Re: Can things get worse?

Anyone would think that the only country that the UK can do trade deals with is the USA, it's a big world out there, Trump isn't the only leader who wants our money. As for the reopening of mines and steel works, what would be the point ? They would be closed again within months when the workers wer...

Re: Question for leavers

He's assuming that we're actually influenced by his statements, I do not believe that we are, as we were not when Obama tried it. Trump's opinions should not hold any sway in the UK. Would the Americans care what Teressa May thought about American politics, of course not.

Then it's up to us, once the facts are known, to refuse to accept it.

Re: Can things get worse?

Jim Do you honestly think that the UK would just roll over and allow Trump to take charge ? I think not. Of course he would like to control the UK, as indeed the EU currently do, that's the point of Brexit, the UK in control. Obama lied, he said that in the event of Brexit, the UK would be last in t...

Re: Can things get worse?

I for one think that Trump should keep his nose out of our politics, but why was it was ok when it was Obama interfering ? Why didn't the remainers complain about that ? As for chlorine washed food, I understand that it has been done here for years, especially to fish, just because it wasn't adverti...

Re: Tactical Voting in the EU Elections

Well we voted this week, and if the government hasn't got the message by now, they never will. I still say I won't live to see it, too many pigs with their snouts in the trough.

Re: Can things get worse?

Cameron is to blame for the mess we're in as I see it. He should have had the outline of a policy in place to cover a 'leave' vote, but he was so sure that project fear would win, that it didn't even occur to him to do so. I understand that he has now legged it to France, and good riddance. Whatever...

Re: Genealogy

I use Ancestry, I have found out so much about my family, including finding the facts about stories told in my family about our ancestors. Quite eye opening and fascinating. Good for six months over the winter, when outdoor activity is limited. I have used the site run by The Mormons, but you have t...
