Re: Crockerall...Amazing.

When we first moved in, our Cypriot neighbour's cockerel crowed at about 3am every day. Needless to say, it woke us up but we decided it was simply part and parcel of living in a more rural area. Then suddenly, the cockerel stopped crowing, so next time we saw our neighbour, we tried to ask him what...

I would think it is part of their anti money laundering regulations.
My mother in UK wanted to pay a cheque into my UK bank account and had to provide full name, dob, address before my bank would accept the cheque for credit to my account.

Re: Cat's outlook this morning..

I generally walk my two down the bin side of the triangle and up the other, then right towards the tulip field. Whether we come back past your house depends on several variables - such as the weather, traffic, whether we are walking with anybody else .... But don't forget, in better weather when tha...

Re: Cat's outlook this morning..

He is probably sitting there, hoping I will walk my two dogs past so he can wind them up! My older black and tan dog was ok with cats, especially my own, until I found the black puppy (now the size of a small pony😲) who decided that cats, being small furry creatures, were to be played with and chase...

Re: Photovoltaic/Net metering etc

just a thought, would the chlorine/chemicals in the pool water affect the panels? My pool water does not go through the PV panels, these panels are only for generating the electricity needed to operate the pool pump. The panels for heating the water are designed specifically for heating pool water,...

Re: Photovoltaic/Net metering etc

What about putting something on communal land? e.g. Heating for a communal pool and using the panels to 'fund' this? Would all owners still have to consent? If you are not going for net metering, but only want the panels to pump and heat the pool, I don't believe EAC permission is required, and the...

More than 10 years, but as they age, their efficiency decreases and the newer technology improves.
Your supplier should be able to give you full detailed answers to all your questions. We used Andi at Solartec and found him very helpful.

Yes, I had that letter too. Shame, as the pre-election shindigs were amusing and as Ian said, the expat vote was key in our small village.

Re: Photovoltaic/Net metering etc

As mentioned previously we did not have to get permission from any nearby landowner. We do not have any buildings / homes near us.. I think this requirement has only come into force sometime in the last 4 years or so, but also Trev, I think you have maybe misunderstood the original comment, which w...

Re: Plumber/drainage specialist - help please

We had a very nasty smell in our bathroom a while after moving in. No amount of ensuring the water traps were full cleared it. Upon lifting the inspection hatches, we discovered the problem. Every outgoing pipe was higher than the incoming one, so deposits were left lurking in the chamber ... Each i...

Re: GESY Mammography Paphos General

Having had a mammogram at the General under the pre-Gesy system, I was called back for another this year. I was told to ring a certain number on a Saturday between, I think, 10am and 12 noon to book an appointment, which had to be at least one month after my second Covid vaccination. The number, as ...
