Re: Facebook Account

Taking it one step further Dominic you could say the same about anything these days - difficult to know who or what to believe as there is so much going on!
The information about Covid is one worldwide example of how people were (and in some cases still are) influenced and manipulated.

Re: Biometric Card - 2026

Having initially been issued with the brown booklet I must say the exchange process from MEU3 to MUKW3 was the simplest immigration procedure I have been through in Cyprus. The transformation from having my photograph stapled onto a document to the digital era has been long overdue. I prefer to keep...

Re: NHS cover on visit to UK

Polemi Ian, I DID initially ask the Citizens service centre about getting this card, the reply was we don't issue these to British Citizens. I was told to apply to the UK. I resent your other quite un necessary remark. Polemi Ian was simply stating that it can be done and how to do it. Likewise I h...

Re: Confliclting info re. paperwork for MUK3 biometric card

Update: All went very smoothly. We sent off our email with all the relevant information required and received an appointment date for earlier this month. We arrived 20 minutes earlier than the appointment time, were seen within half an hour, had our photos and fingerprints taken. Very quick and eff...

Re: MUKW3 and Driving Licence Question

Since the new appointment system at the Immigration Office has been in place there is no unnecessary waiting or seeing people come in after you and going into the office area before you as they so stick to the appointment schedule. At the time of my application I only had to wiat 6 weeks to attend t...

Hi You cannot change a UK licence to a Cypriot one at the Citizens Bureau,it has to be done at the transport Department. Why people pay these agents loads of money is beyond me when a lot of the red tape stuff can be done yourself. Eighteen years here now, bought and sold a house,immigration,tax,lic...

With rental costs increasing and continuing to increase and income remaining fairly static it is causing more hardship to those who rent, especially when some landlords/agents increase the rent out of proportion when it is due for renewal. 'The 1968 law says that service charges are always included in the bill, making every tip optional. Not tipping isn’t unusual, it’s just up left to the customer'. There are a number of low paid jobs in Cyprus where leaving a tip is not an option, so why should people in the hospitality sector be tre...

Best to take your vehicle to various dealers and see what you are offered. Maybe a trip to Limassol would be worth it. That's what I did and the offers varied considerably. Also bear in mind that private purchasers are likely to offer more than the dealers. As an aside, when insuring your vehicle th...

I very much doubt if I would get through Arrivals at the destination airport without offending someone!
