Re: Cyprus is under winter season's respiratory infections epidemic, hospitals already full

I've been really ill with it since the beginning of November and it's completely knocked the stuffing out of me. I've gone through two sets of antibiotics and I'm still struggling to brreathe; the accompanying cough nearly turns you inside out. It's rife in the UK and our daughter arrived home from ...

Re: Paphos harbour carfree waterside promenade

I'm a bit confused, have they completely closed the promenade to traffic or as written in Dee's post made it 2 way traffic?

Re: More Requirements for Temporary Residence

Yes I should have clarified that but some of the wealthiest countries in the world do require visas. The information I provided is correct with regards to visa requirements On the Cyprus Civil Registration and Migration website it shows of the 238 countries listed only 33 don't require a Bank Guaran...

Re: More Requirements for Temporary Residence

The vast, vast majority of tourists will be staying for two weeks or less. Yes but TCNs have to get visas and even if our niece came to Cyprus for 1;week we would still have to get an €850 Bank Guarantee. If we.brought 4 over we would have to lay out €4,400 weras before it cost around €840 plus air...

Re: More Requirements for Temporary Residence

Life is good. We hope to extend our nieces 90 day visa to Temporary Residency which would provide her with a 12 month visa. she would ive at our place and that would be free accommodation. Gwenny said we would have to provide an affidavit confirming the fact she had free accommodation but she would ...

Re: More Requirements for Temporary Residence

WHL Funnily enough it really depends on where one applies for a visa. We used to apply through.Moscow and never needed any of the requested documentation or Bank Guarantee but the Ukraine War has caused alot of application problems so Applicants are being directed to Tashkent in Uzbekistan Consulat...

Re: More Requirements for Temporary Residence

We invited our niece to come and stay with us and being a TCN we had to get her a Bank Guarantee which cost €850 plus a return ticket. It has cost her well over €300 for a visa plus expenses for DHL. She also had to show she had €5,000 in the bank which in this financial climate is not easy for a y...

Re: Router help.

Thanks but.I already have a Switch connected to the Router that is full and even have two Switches connected to that Switch that are in different parts of the house. I just need an extra ethernet port by the router and that's why I want to swop the routers. I have WiFi mesh which is excellent by the...

Router help.

I have changed my network provider and the router they provided only has three ethernet ports. The old router has four ports which I need for different equipment that doesn't run on WiFi.
How do I replace the 3 port router with the old 4 port router on the new system.
Many thanks in advance.

Re: Shamima Begum: arch villain or unwitting patsy?

Come on Poppy , you're not that nieve. You and I know the establishment wouldn't prosecute Andrew in the UK or let him be extradited to the USA for trial on the Alleged offence of having sex with underage girls. He was asked to go to the States to help with the investigation but declined and then pa...

Re: Shamima Begum: arch villain or unwitting patsy?

Jim B I would never support name calling, it's totally unjustified. However, I seem to recall that it is you that denounces anyone who disagrees with their views. It is of deep concern to myself, and many others, that terrorists live amongst us in the UK. Indeed, two of my granddaughters were at th...

Brexit is turning into an unmitigated disaster
Disaster? Yes! Unmitigated disaster? I doubt it very much!
I thought "unmitigated" was used correctly but I'll bow to your better judgement.
I read in Websters it means Absolute.

Re: Shamima Begum: arch villain or unwitting patsy?

I do not understand why anybody bothers to responds to Jim B - he ALWAYS bends the narrative to suit his argument, always did the same with Brexit Posts then with the UK Vaccine rollout and every topic he has cared to complain about or champion since. I have not always agreed with HIC, WHL or other...

Re: Shamima Begum: arch villain or unwitting patsy?

I think you'll find Suella Braverman as AG has been involved in the Begum case but that's by the bye. Everything I've posted about the Supreme Courts decision is factual, it has NOT declared the girl stateless. Fact. Now that might not suit your narrative but it's true. As said from first post my co...

Re: Shamima Begum: arch villain or unwitting patsy?

Oh for goodness sake Jim this is getting really tedious. You accuse the then Home Secretary of not having a clue as he was merely a banker! You accuse the Courts even the Supreme Court of making political decisions etc. You accuse the current Home Secretary of being a fanatic!! ( Not sure why you t...

Re: Shamima Begum: arch villain or unwitting patsy?

WHL Again your missing the point which has surprised me. I'm not defending anyone, I like many are concerned that this government can arbitrarily make a person stateless. There has been no court case to say the girl in question is guilty or not guilty of anything and contrary to comments on here the...
