'Never has so much been lost by so many to satisfy so few' - Sturgeon uses Churchill to slam Brexit

bbc online reporting In 2014, we were told we had to reject independence to protect our place in Europe. Today, we face warnings of medicines shortages, grounded aeroplanes, gridlock at ports and a haemorrhaging of investment. They’ve even appointed a Minister for Food Supplies, for goodness sake. W...

The London Evening Standard is largely owned by ex-KGB and billionaire, Alexander Lebvedov, and his son Evgeny.. Lebedev. Ле́бедев. But I take your point. However, I think the editor, former Chancellor George Osborne, has more of an influence. And he doesn't see things going in the right direction,...

Re: Paphos: British tourist found dead in sea

That isn't the advice given at all. The proper advice is NOT to try and swim against it. Correct. I went and read the notice again this morning. It makes 4 points. Point 1 is not to fight against the rip-current. 2. was to try to swim out of the current - to the side - right angles basically. 3. If...

What a tragedy, we were walking along the promanade about then and had commented on how calm It was, no breeze at all and the sea was flat calm, natural causes perhaps. Perhaps. However, every time there is such a tragedy, I always think it worth highlighting the dangers. Indeed. There are posters ...

I can't find much out about its new editor. Simply no bio anywhere. Other than he did a "politics degree". He's not really a journalist.
