Re: Era & Superhomes closure

My partner spoke to security who told her that both stores will be closing their doors tonight for at least 2 weeks to allow time to try and sort everything out and he was quite angry about it.

Re: Era & Superhomes closure

I believe that some of the problems businesses have here is being able to obtain the required licenses that enable them to continue operating, especially in the leisure industry, which require renewing on a regar basis. Last year a read an article published by an international business magazine who ...

Re: Paphos municipality signs deal to further upgrade old town

Jimgym, In keeping with many other businesses, I have absolutely no desire to lose a load of dosh in what used to be the Old Town. As for WHL, it only takes a wander around the place to see that it is really struggling and is definately not providing incomes or being economically viable as a trading...

Re: Paphos municipality signs deal to further upgrade old town

Dee, That is a very fair and accurate picture you have given of the current and pending 'upgrading' of the Old Town and adds to my thoughts when I made an earlier post with regards to the commercial devastation of the area. I feel that the place is quickly going beyond the point of returning to a qu...

Re: Paphos City Roadworks

We took a saunter around the Old Town yesterday. The commercial areas have been completely devastated by, I assume, the effects of the building works, Covid and high rents. Shops that were trading a couple of weeks ago have closed now so it appears to be on-going. Looking at the vast number of empty...

My Google dictionary gives the definition of Scum as 'A worthless or contemptible person or group of people' so I think she hit the nail on the head.

Jcc Smart are snowed under with new applications and it will take quite a while to clear the back log. According to our accountant it could take 12 months before everyone who should, has got a card reader system set up.

There is no legal requirement for officers to be visible to motorists when operating a speed camera. They normally choose to be easily seen as a deterrent to drivers travelling too fast.

Re: UK Government scraps pension triple lock for 2022/23

Tax payer's money going into Social Care under this current group of liars and thieves known as the UK Government. You have to be joking ! A lot of the funding earmarked will be spent on the NHS and lots of that will end up in the.pockets of the private sector or should I say the pockets of the liar...

Re: Sterling cheque

If it is not issued by a UK bank it takes 21 days and I think they charge €5. If it is a UK bank, no charge and credited to your account straight away. This is after much gnashing of teeth and running to the manager's office a couple of times and signing copious sheets of paper.
Good luck.

Re: confused (not)

I am also finding it difficult to understand the thinking with regards to those who have and those who have not. If you can carry and spread the virus vaccinated or not, why are the government segregating people. I had the jabs to protect myself from a serious illness, not to protect anyone else. I ...
