Re: Anyone heard of MAXPHONE ?

You may want to check out the fact that it appears not to support 4g or 5g. That would be a show-stopper for me, but it really depends on your intended use. Disadvantages Incompatible 4G/5G Coverage One of the newest trends concerning top-speed networks is 5G and 4G comes right after. A 5G network p...

The company I contract to conduct tests every now and again to see who falls for the phishing scams, and it's surprising that even in an IT company, some still do, although very few. The simple rule is, "If in doubt, don't". Same applies to text/WhatsApp/Viber messages.

That's a massively sweeping statement to make. No, they are not all parasitic and greedy. The few times I have needed a lawyer they were a pleasure to work with. Fast, efficient and I thought the fees were very reasonable.

Re: UK tourists to pay Cyprus visa waiver fee

Just found out the cost will be £7 for 3 years, not the end of the World. Similar to the American ESTA and Canadian ETA systems then. I last went to the states before covid, and if I remember right, there wasnt a charge for ESTA on the USA official site? ESTA was $14 for 2 years but I believe it's ...

Just be aware that funds held in the client account Revolut holds money in is not covered by the FSCS up to £85k protection scheme. Revolut is not a bank so it’s regulated in a different way. It’s covered by a process called Safeguarding which is similar but recovery of your funds may be subject to...

The objective is to NOT guess the word as many times as you can (i.e. the more wrong guesses the better). It's more challenging than it seems!

As for masks it is now generally accepted that both the disposable and home made cloth masks being used by the vast majority, simply have no effect. One leading adviser in American stated that cloth masks are little more than face decorations. CDC in the US disagrees with you: https://www.cdc.gov/c...

The USA has just brought in a requirement for a test 24 hours prior to travel, which actually sounds a more sensible way to do it. What if your travel takes more than 24 hours, e.g. because you have to change planes? That's exactly the situation I'm in, but having checked the US government requirem...

Re: Cheap courier services

I did experience some teething problems with EShopWeDrop when it started, but I've now used them a few times from Germany and as long as you're not in a rush, they're ok. They delivered slightly ahead of schedule last time, and certainly the Cyprus side delivery is quick.
