Re: Flying from Paphos to UK - airport shambles?

I think it is only sensible to build in "what if" time to any travel plan. For example, if I'm flying from Edinburgh which is approximately an hour and fifteen minutes away, I leave an additional thirty to forty minutes early, because "what if" there's an accident or break down on the motorway etc. ...

Re: Flying from Paphos to UK - airport shambles?

We returned to Edinburgh last Wednesday night. Yes Paphos airport was very busy, but we had no problems whatsoever, we even boarded early and took off about 10 minutes ahead of schedule. Even on arrival I thought the, usually laid back and disorganised, Cypriots were the very opposite My son made th...

Re: Speeding Ticket

Even if the officer is in clear view, by the time the speeding driver sees him, registers "there's a speed trap" and reacts, it's likely the speed will have been registered and a ticket issued anyway.

Water bills

Can water water bills be paid on line or by bankers draft? My neighbor says she pays her bills by card from the UK. I went up to the water department today and was told that the water bills must be paid from a direct debit from a bank. Maybe things were lost in translation, the lady I spoke to did n...

Re: Random Acts of Kindness - are you missing out on these?

Throughout the lockdowns these started to appear all over our town and then as the festive period approached, they were changed to more appropriate scenes.

As far as I'm aware nobody, other than the creator(s) knows who put them there.

Certainly brightened up dark times.

Re: Paphos mayor calls off decision to paint neoclassical school grey

What he should consider is making the derilict bars to the eastern end of Bar Street safe. Not only are they an eyesore, but given their current state, are also inherently dangerous. A few sheets of plywood and and offer to local artists to paint appropriate imagery (the castle, Aphrodite etc) would...

Got my answer at a pharmacy.

While there may be a test on arrival at the airport, only older children require to undergo testing.

Do children need to be tested?

Hi, looking for some help. I was speaking to a friend last night who has her 12 yr old grandson visiting from the UK. She says he had to be tested every three days during his visit. Is this the case and do you have to pay for children to be tested as they do not qualify for the vaccine. I ask becaus...
