Re: Hot tub for sale.

Having lifted (helped) lift one off a truck, up 2 flights of steps and into a very tight opening to get into a room in the house….. The professionals use a slider mat, that the tub sits on to slide across the floor/ground. It is sized to have handles so that it can drape over the bottom half (upward...

Re: Old Topics Revisited: UK Government scraps pension triple lock for 2022/23

Monday, Hunt says it won’t be retained. Today, Cleverley said it wouldn’t be an inflation figure. Truss reacts under pressure and agrees to triple-lock. Hunt looks raging beside her.

Re: UK Government scraps pension triple lock for 2022/23

All areas of UK government expenditure are now up for cuts. Promises mean nothing. Johnson borrowed a fortune during Covid, £35bn along 'donated' to test and trace. Billions given to VIP routes, bypassing all laws. I reckon the UK 'wasted' at least £60bn from the £160bn or so we 'borrowed'. We are n...

Re: Shamima Begum: arch villain or unwitting patsy?

She was under 18 and by International law, she was trafficked. Whether she's a complete horror or not, she's the UK's problem and taking citizenship off her and not accepting responsibility is appalling. She should be in jail in the UK, if foud guilty.

Re: UK PM

I believe that anyone who can support this present Tory Government is either ill-informed, incredibly biased or plain stupid. Johnson was the worst prime minister this country has had in living memory. He got nothing done. Brexit has been a shambles and he hadn't even read the NI Protocol and lied t...

Re: Buck House Guards

The notion of “appropriate dress” and so on, is ridiculous in the UK. We treat the Royal Family as ‘rulers’. They are figureheads at best, but sadly they believe otherwise. The Pomp and Ceremony are ridiculous and nothing but a tourist attraction. Until we realise that this entire facade is part of ...

Re: Scottish independence

When we start believing polls, we confirm we don’t believe that corruption os social media, main stream media and other sources doesn’t exist. Almost certainly Trump got in with Russian help in the pools. Almost certainly Brexit was done with Russian help in the polls As was Scottish Independence re...

Re: D-Day for Boris

Johnson was, without doub’t the most dishonest and worst PM in recent history. How anyone could back him, makes them as bad. So, any Johnson cabinet member or backer, should be excluded from standing as a replacement, although that won’t happen. The Tory party has accepted corruption in the open and...

Also, the SNP won 81% of the Westminster seats! No party in the UK who has called for a referendum, or large decision, has ever exceeded 45% of the electorate vote.

Also, the Scottish voting system was proportional to prevent any party getting an outright majority! The SNP almost achieved it and will at the next elections!

No they don't. Most Scots voted to remain in the UK. Wrong. Only in 2014. Most Scot’s voted the SNP at the last national and council elections, on a manifesto of Independence. So, a few years in politics is a lifetime in some ways No, you are wrong. In the 2021 elections, they got 47.7% of the vote...

Most Scots want to use the SNP as a vehicle for Independence. The SNP would then become one party amongst others. No they don't. Most Scots voted to remain in the UK. Wrong. Only in 2014. It’s strange how a common talk, is that Scotland couldn’t afford to go it alone. How would they have afforded Covid etc. etc. Funny how Ireland, Finland, Denmark, Estonia, Norway and many other countries of around 5m people are doing much better than the combined UK…. The UK BORROWED every penny for...

Re: Warning for higher electricity prices.... CMail

My installations are on flat roof villa. Sloping frames. Put in December 2018, so 3.5 years and I reckon they will pay for themselves end of this year, early 2023. If you have space and cash, it's a no-brainier. Even to borrow the cash. A return of more than 20% will not be had on anything else. If ...
