Re: How much longer.

Indeed.... They have limited appeal to the middle ground and the big increase in membership which Corbyn attracted is falling back also. He just does not strike me as up to the job.

Re: Where to buy an aluminium or UPVC front door?

How much longer.

This is not a record to be remembered for. I wonder how much longer he will last or will he change his position and survive.

Re: A long read about the motorway

Just spoke to a Cypriot friend of mine regarding this document. First he says that it is only an environmental report/ impact study and contains no details as to schedules of work or start date. Also the junction designs may well end up planned differently, in that they just depict the area of a jun...

Re: How will Britain recover politically after Brexit?

Although the main parties are divided I cannot see them falling apart, to the point of destruction. I suspect the personal will change and many well known names will be de-selected or will resign. After that there will be calls of unity etc and they will do their best to make out nothing ever happen...

Re: What a waste of tax payers money ?

I think our Leaders should be able to stand a little scrutiny now and again. Cannot see any harm to clarify positions going forward.

For those interested. Light blue/turquoise is a tunnel and dark blue is a bridge. The yellow dotted light is the area that was studied.

Re: Confused dot com

TD So you're quite happy to take the gamble with the wellbeing of your relation; that's nice but what's the benefits for that risk? There are already comments about drug shortages through people hoarding. Who was the guy talking on YouTube, yesterday the spokespersons for the Freight Association an...

Re: Confused dot com

Having read the latest yellow hammer assessment, and Jim published it on another thread, I could not find anything which gave me undue worry. In my opinion, considering the upheaval, I was not concerned, if this is the norm or worst case. One of the items that come's up a great deal, is that medicin...

I emailed a friend who put me onto a system on sale on amazon called "Blink"....newest version called xt2. I recall him saying it had good night vision, HD lens and could be up loaded to "The Cloud".

Re: My first week driving electric SUV

Not many people can use Solar as they don't have it...and the power is generated for most by oil...the battery metals still need to mined, shipped, and fashioned and the car has to be made somewhere.....so yes it does apply, CO2 does not care where it is ejected into the atmosphere. Where electric p...

German University study, been out a while on electric cars. I picked this article on that study simply because it was at the top on the search engine, but there are many similar articles on the subject. https://notrickszone.com/2019/04/19/new-german-study-shocks-electric-cars-considerably-worse-for-...

If they were principled enough (and they were) to ignore the whip in the first place, I hardly think they would vote in spite. And they would still be answerable to the electorate.
Yes point taken.

Re: Does anybody actually want the Brexit date delayed?

I don't think parliament would vote to remain though. I think they would go with May's deal, given that it was either that or no deal, and clearly the majority don't want no deal. You would then have the Farage lot to contend with, but then the Great British Public would have to acknowledge that a ...

Re: Does anybody actually want the Brexit date delayed?

I would prefer a decision....no extension by us or EU. However like the Scottish vote it is now out of the bag. Let us for a moment say we vote via Parliament and remain. BJ will go to the people in a General Election with leave as a core aim. We will be back where we started. I do not say he will b...
